Some man may say that their wife is not what they have expected, while others will say they find a jewels. According to the bible he who finds a wife find a good thing and obtain favour of the lord. Every woman is different. Every woman is complex. Every woman is mysterious. A woman cannot solve like some maths equation. Most woman likes surprised, likes to be given gift. Wife need to feel love.
Some woman have a low view of themselves, which makes them a a weak wife. But its time we look at our selves as a priceless jewel, Inspite of what our husband think. It is the duty of your husband to love his wife even as himself. And it is the duty of the wife to be submissive. Submission has nothing to do with equality, to submit to your husband does not mean you agree with him on everything, it means you recognize his position as head of the household to accomplish Gods purpose as it relates to the family. A good woman is always a comfort to his husband, as the saying goes behind every successful man is a good woman. In the same way a mother nurture his children, thats the same way a wife comfort encourage and love her husband.

I just read that verse (the title) a few days ago, and I really liked it. I love all that the bible has to share with us, and how we learn from it. It's very encouraging. We use the KJV here, and it says Reverence instead of submit, which I think is the word your looking for, to mean what you have gave an example to.

Yes I agree with you. My husband said this the other day. I love that bible verse. When you find that husband or wife you feel more complete and don't feel like something is missing. When it is ordaned by HIM nothing can tear it apart. I am glad you broke this down because a lot of us women really need to read what you wrote, but at the same time a man has to be the head of household and take care of home and not the streets. I love this. You pick a great topic to write about.

I am still single and I just had two boyfriends before, I cannot exactly understand what are wife thinking. But look at my mama, she has a kinda of good job and she still gets quick a lot of friends, my papa also very love her, protect her and I think that is wife's need, a good family and a nice job. But somehow, still have a number of women, they are single mama, they are not only need to make money as much as possible also they need to look after their children, I can not image how hard they could be. nobody protect them, nobody can really understand them. so I am very appreciated that I have a nice family, my mama and papa still stay together.

I have always been a fan of this verse. Many people take it out of context and twist it to mean what they want it to mean. But love the way it is intended in this verse is truly a wonderful thing!
I hope more people will read this verse and not simply scoff at it. It holds so much power if we simply try to live as such!

I am still to find a lady to my life and it would be a turning point to my life as I will start a new life ater it. I have plans towards my married life as well, lets see how well, I can execute that!

its a duty of a wife to love his husband too. I think both need to realize the value of each other. I am a woman, and i like to recognize my guy's talents, respect feelings and i also treated the same. We both like respect. I know that guys have feelings, sometimes they dont like it when women nag a lot, clingy and selfish. Women loves to be treated special. if you still have questions about how women and men are different to each other, you can read " men are from mars, women are from venus. its a great book

yes, that is so true. I know there are so many men out there that are finding a good thing and they don't even recognize it as a gift from God. So women if ur married to a man like this, stay strong and continue to pray and ask God to work the situation out for you. I have been married for over 20 years now and although I'm not exactly treated as the queen and the way that I deserve to be treated. My hubby realizes that I'm a good thing and that is probably why we are still together after all these years.

A good wife is a precious blessing from the Lord, but anybody cannot be a good wife or husband by their own effort, They need to posses the quality of God, they must accept Jesus as their savior, king and everything because if you have the Lord you can do anything by His power. We can do anything specially being the good partner if we have Christ.

Sure thing, I hate it too when some women misquote this and misapply it. When women are battered by their husband and they are still there coz they believe they have to submit to their husband. That's crazy misapplication of facts. Actually the man is also to love and take care of his wife as Christ loved and took care and lay down his life for the church. If wives have huge responsibility, so as the husbands. Its no joke being married.
