I'm asking for prayer, good thoughts or whatever

As you guys know, I talk about my roomie a LOT.
Well, yesterday she had an MRI on her head.
They aren't quite sure what they found, but they found something. It could be a birth defect, it could be the remant of a stroke, it could be an old injury.
But, whatever it is, it isn't normal.
So, while she is going to the neurologist later this month, I would like you do send up whatever it is you do, for Dark4eyes.
The chances are actually better for the birth defect or old injury than a stroke, since she's had most of the problems all her life, it may be that a sinus infection has caused a problem with the anomoly in her head that prompted the MRI.
None the less, her mother had a brain anurism burst back in 2005, I think it was, so there is concern that it might be something she inherited even.
so, light a candle, say some prayers - even if she doesn't believe in them - it can't hurt her - whatever your faith prompts you to do. I would really appreciate it, I can't afford to keep the house going and care for the cats without her.
besides, I really don't think I can stand to lose another friend at 48 like I lost Elaine.

Hey Elic~ I am so sorry to hear about your roomie. I will keep
her in my prayers and will light a candle for her most definitely.
I do hope that they find that it isn't anything too serious.
I hope that it is just something that was always there that
isn't anything to worry about. I will keep her in my thoughts
and I will pray for you too that you keep yourself strong.
I will send you as much postive energy as I can. You have
to keep thinking that everything is going to be ok! So
take care of yourself so that you can take care of your
wonderful friend. I do believe that she will be alright.

I'm sending you prayers, chants and all the positive energy I can muster up, Elic! I recently asked for the same thing and received so much that I honestly think it worked!
I had gone to a neurologist when I was in my early 20's because of chronic headaches. MRI's hadn't become a common thing, but they did a brain scan, EEG and some other tests on my brain.
They found the same thing as you're describing was found on Dark4eyes' brain. They simply referred to it as a "lesion", probably an old scar from some injury or even happening at birth. I've lived with this thing all my life, apparently. What exactly it's doing to me, I don't know... yet, but I'm still alive!
I was scheduled to have an MRI of my brain just yesterday, actually. This was because of nerve damage recently found throughout my extremities. But, my insurance company put a screeching halt to the MRI until they determine whether or not this is a "pre-existing" condition or not. So, I have to wait.
I know that your roomie and you are both very worried. I know I was, when they found "something" on my brain, before the brain scan which showed it to be scar tissue. It's hard NOT to worry!
I don't know what your roomie's symptoms are, so I can't add any more, but I will send you all the positive energy I can.
Take it easy and TRY not to worry too much. Do things to keep your mind, and hers, off of this as much as possible because worrying won't help. I know it's hard, but try, okay? Waiting is the worst part!

Good Morning ElicBxn,
She sounds like a remarkable person and she is so very fortunate that she has a force of nature to help her -YOU.
I don't often offer up a prayer but I will now,
not just for your friend but for you as well. Please remember that you have to take some time for yourself as well. you are no good to her if you are exhausted and run down yourself.
Take care
Charlene

I'm a little late coming in here my friend, but I will certainly join the healing circle here in lighting a candle and sending healing energies to your friend. Try not to dwell on the worst thoughts... concentrate on the positive, and tell her to as well, so that together we can walk her through this.
Brightest Blessings, always. xx

That sounds pretty positive to me then, my friend. It could be her sinuses that have caused the abnormality. Rather that than a tumour. My energies will be encompassing the two of you, so that you can find the strength and positivity you both need right now. You're a good friend, and I know you can do this. Keep faith! xx

Hi Elic. I'm so sorry to hear about your friend! I've read your discussion when you posted it and saved it to respond to when I could so pardon my tardiness but I have kept you and your friend on my mind and have prayed and will continue to do so. Hopefully it's nothing to be worried with but even if it is something to be worried with, at least it was found before it burst or does what ever it is that it does.

I'm sure you and your roomie are going to be sharing more time together yet. But I send my best wishes on just the same.
Just curious, how did she manage to keep still for the MRI? I can't keep still when sitting at the computer, or the dentist, let alone for any sort of scanning where you have to be completely still. No joke, I spent 45 mins at the dentist the other week squirming so much I almost ended up with the resin for my teeth up my nose!

Skinny? I've had 5 kids, so nope, definitely not skinny. Not so all together either, gravity seems to rule these days! lol. I'm a fidget, always have been, and always will be I suppose. Can't even watch tv without having something else to do at the same time.

I'll include her in my prayers.
She has pretty same condition with my cousin.
My cousin's had been comatosed a week ago.
Thank God, he immediately gain his conciousness.
He is still in the hospital right now and I think, will stay there for a couple of weeks more.
He also suffered a defective vein, some blood clot and was diagnosed to have hyrocephalus and needs a neuro surgeon to look after him.
He has right now, 2 tubes attached in his head wherein the excess water and blood are being drained.
His operations hasn't ended yet there.
Hope you could also offer some prayers for him.

oh my, babyfazt, I'd say she's better off than your cousin.
how old is he? hydrocephalus is something not unknown amoung infants (I know a young man born with it)
at least he's in the hospital, the best place for him right now - I'll say a prayer for him

He's not an infant though.
He's already 15 years old.
He's better now than from what he was when he was comatosed.
At least now, he could move and as well as eat.
But there's one thing that keeps bothering me about his condition, whenever he opens his eyes it looks like as if he can't remember anything.
I hope it doesn't affect his memory that much.

Studies have proven that people who are prayed for definitely show improvement, even when they do not know about it. I can see where they think it might be an aneurysm or a birth defect that is congenital. Whatever it is I am praying.
