I started smoking when I was 13 years young. I said, I was trying it out but sooner got addicted to it. At first I thought that I could get over it this year because I have been smoking for 7 years now and I might get a lung cancer or worst than that! In fact,I even ask my boyfriend to stop me whenever I feel like smoking but it had no use. I became more possessive of being a smoker or rather I have been MORE AND MORE ADDICTED TO IT! I really want to stop because it doesn't make my breathing, lips, and lungs any good. I have found some gums in the internet which contains nicotine but there is no way it was available here in my place. I can't find any! Chances are I'm gonna lose my boyfriend,my lungs as well as my life. HELP! any other option? CAn you put some advices that will help me stop smoking a lil bit slowly but effective?

Smoking is really a addiction and not easy to quit all of sudden. But good thing is there are many rehabilition center for helping to get rid of these habits. Try them and make a great change in your life.

the hardest thing ive ever done is quit smokeing but i had no choice i was pregnant and refused to hurt my child because of my bad habits. i now smoke again since ive had her though and would love to stop but i am to stressed and have bad anxiety so it makes it very hard. you have to find out what triggers you to smoke alot of times people smoke when they feel stressed or at certain times of the day or after certain things like eating a meal. To be able to quit you have to eliminate what triggers you to smoke if you smoke when your stressed then when you feel like your starting to stress and might want a cig go work out or go for a walk to help relieve stress in a healthy way you can also take up yoga or dance classes to relieve stress. if you feel you alyways need to smoke after eating then find something else that you can do to get yourself busy after eating like doing housework or the laundry or sewing or some kind of activity that can take your mind off of smoking. the key is to find out why you smoke at the times you do and try to do something else to trick your mind away from the craving it also helps to chew gum alot but not nicotine gum. it think its the most effective to just quit all at once instead of baby steps if you slip up and smoke one its ok just know you have to work a lil harder to make sure it doesnt happen again. this is the way i quit while i was pregnant and i completely quit after 2 and a half weeks after smoking 6 years.

It's really hard to quit smoking specially if its already part of your daily living. And to quit smoking is something that we cannot do overnight. But what i did was I just set my mind that smoking would not do me any good. So I started to stop smoking and guess what I did it. It's almost 3 years now, and I feel much healthier.. so my advice is "just put you mind into it"..

Hi, I've never smoked, thank goodness. But my husband had smoked for about 15 years. Our neighbor who had smoked for over 25 years, had quit with a product called "Smoke Away" It is herbal. So, my husband tried it. You take a pill that relaxes you, I think the other one helped to clear your system. And then there was a small bottle of kind of a menthol smelling stuff. And he would put a dab of that under his nose when he felt like he needed a cig. He had not only the addiction to the nicotine but he was also the kind of person who had one as soon as he got up, then one after he ate a meal. He would light up the minute he got in his truck....his was also a habit that was almost a ritual... Anyway, we got the product and we were getting ready to move cross country, so things were pretty stressfull. But after he started the product he never smoked again, I left one out on the porch, so he knew there was one there, which I think was better than imagining there wasn't one anywhere IF he decided he couldn't stand it. He also managed to drive from WA state to TN without smoking. Him driving without smoking...well, it was pretty amazing. The neighbor had the same experience. He lived on a hill above us, and before he quit we could hear him coughing from the time he got outside his home until he drove past our place. We had actually asked him if he had quit because he had quit coughing. It was bad, he sounded like he was going to cough up a lung. And he had quit just as quickly as my husband. The first time he used the product. Neither of them have ever smoked again either! But like any method you have to be ready to quit. No one else can brow beat you into it. Do it for yourself! If my husband can do it ANYONE can do it ;)

Hello, I am also a smoker that started as young as you and am now 28. I have already been thru cancer and quit the whole time I was going thru chemo but then anxiety started and the dumbest thing I did was start it again. I have been trying to drop it again for a while. I chew gum and try to keep my life busy with no stress and good things because I have realized I do it as a stress reliever. The one thing I have learned if your going to quit is not to be around anyone that smokes for a while find some time passing happy hobbies and constantly keep in your mind the I HAVE TO STOP ITS NOT WORTH IT BUT MY LIFE IS. I have to admit I am hoping to be done soon I have just recently myself gotten this advice and am learning day to day the best way to go about dropping the smokes because one thing I have learned is life and everyhting in it is much more worth it then not having life at all and losing everything. If you want to talk further and possibly help each other out with different ideas and hope and help please let me know.
