I am a die hard fan of aircrafts. So I like to travel by airplane. Yesterday only I travelled by Jet Airways as I was returning from my native place. First of all, when I travel by airplane, I like the takeoff part as well as the landing part. When at cruising speed, I am overwhelmed by the beautiful landscape and clouds filled over it. So who likes to travel by airplane? And also give reasons and your views!

I am very keen on traveling because I adore visiting different countries. By plane is just a quick, convenient and cost effective to reach far away destinations. I feel very satisfied by the speed of a plane. I think the best thing about flying is the excitement of taking off and hopefully seeing pleasant view from the plane window. I love to see the beautiful landscape but puffy white clouds can get boring. The most memorable views I had had were Sydney Harbor, the pyramids of Egypt and the islands of the Maldives. My favorite way to travel is by train but compared with plane is is limited and slow. However the seats are comfortable with lots of legroom. I can look out of the window at the picturesque scenery.

u are very lucky to see all those places! First of all, till date I havent travelled abroad. So no chances of seeing those marvellous places. Secondly, I have travelled by airplane within India mostly to my native place called Mangalore. So no chances of seeing beautiful places. But Mangalore is a place with full of nature. You will witness huge bunch of tress everywhere and greenery.

I like to travel by airplane. But, I also like to drive. The reason is while you are driving you can see different parts of the county you wouldn't get to see if you flew instead of driving.

i don't really like to travel by train... i just get tired and agitated if i stay on the plane for too long... i prefer to travel by car and i think i enjoy it more... i also don't like feelings of being too high above the ground... car and train are better for me... take care and have a nice day...

oh, there are all kinds of reasons I like to fly.
If we are low, I do like to watch the landscape going by. If we are higher, I enjoy looking down on the clouds, pretending they are the land and the ground beneath is oceans.
I have to say that landing is the most nerveracking part of the whole trip - well, besides waiting in the waiting room before loading on the plane....
ANYWAY...
I remember one flight between Austin and Dallas, it was early morning and I could see the sun reflecting on the rail tracks below and on the lakes too, so beautiful.
BUT, I will say that the best part of flying is getting there and having more time where ever I am to be there rather than taking all the time just driving there.
Now, when I have time, driving is also nice, because I get to see the scenery and stop and see things and meet people.

Traveling by air can be fun and exciting. I have not traveled by jet in aobut 3 years. I would like to travel by air agian soon but it all depends on where i will go and how much it would cost.

I love to fly! I´m not afraid of planes, as many people are. And it´s the only way you can reach quickly some places. I love to travel. In fact, it´s the only luxury I allow myself in a very frugal life. But all my savings go to air tickets and I have become a pro of going places without spending too much.I have visited many places in South, Central and North America and I have also been three times in Europe.
But the flight itself is something special and magical. It gives you another perspective of the world. I love to see that blu-blue sky and the unreal white clouds below. I love to see the plane approaching a city. I could go on forever.
Happy posting!

I also like travelling by planes because it's faster to be in the destination specially if its too far. But my problem is getting some sleep when travelling and if its a long flight I feel so exhausted. I also like the take off and landing part and of course the eating part, lol.

If I want to travel a long distance I often choose to go by plane instead of travelling by bus or by train. I think it is nice that is possible to fly from one place to another and flying is conveniant, because it is faster. I also like to enjoy the view from the window. On the other hand, there are some things that I don't like very much about flying. I don't like the waiting time and the luggage restrictions, and I feel more free when I am travelling by train or by bus.

Hi darshan,
I do not say I am afraid of traveling on flight. I like it very much as though. Everything including the take off and the landing and the airy view of the earth below sends me a feel of getting out of the earth at least until mu airy journey comes to an end. Sometime the feeling is quite serious as I wonder looking down on the planet Earth how bad it would be to leave this earth!!!!

If it takes me more than 12 hours to get to my destination by train, I will go there by flight. Flying is much faster. But I don't like being in the plane too much time. There is no much space for you in the plane. I will free tired, if I sit in the plane too long.
