I was stuck in the doctor's office the other day because my daughter was a little ill and on the TV was the Jerry Springer Show..and then the Maury show. There were a bunch of cheaters and women pulling the panties they found in their mate's cars out of their pockets..and I couldn't help but wonder..why? Why would they hang out their dirty laundry like that for the whole world to see? Do you watch these kind of talk shows and what do you think about the people on there? Do you think it's staged or real life situations? Would you ever go on a talk show..even if you weren't sure why they invited you on?

It is money talking everywhere. They can do anything for money and dirty language is a part of it.
I wonder what a censor board does when these programs comes on air! All they would say that put a beep while they are using dirty languages. I mean WTF is this! I don't like them at all because even if there is a beep sound, people can still read the lips.
Now a days, I have heard that they are also censoring their lips so that one can't read their lips too, so, I think now I can afford to see that show!

Yes sanuanu..there is a lot of bad language on those shows. You can always tell what they are saying. I don't know how the censor board reacts unless they view it before hand. If they do, they let a lot of stuff by. Thanks for responding.

i am not a big fan of these talk shows. sometimes maury makes me laugh just because the whole thing is ridiculous. i'm saying this of course hoping to one day make the five or so hour drive to chicago so i can attend a filming of the jerry springer show. that would rule, just because of the chaotic nature of the whole thing.

Hahahaha...
I am equally perplexed dear. Why on earth?! I can neither get to the psyche of the participants nor to the taste of the watchers. There are other means to earn money on earth! I thing, most are cooked up and fake and NO, I would not watch this kind of shows unless you promise me some nice sessions of spa and lot of chocolates.......just kidding you.

There was a lot of hype surrounding the Jerry Springer show at one time and I did watch a couple of episodes but they were nuts! Some of them were down right nasty..lol..I can't get into them at all and definately can't understand their guests. They would have to give me a lot of chocolate! LOL..just kidding. Thanks for responding

Chocolates would be lovely! We can have the horde and indulge in the melting in the mouth when still in front of the TV, can't we?

I think it is real. Some people are about that stupid. I guess it would depend on the circumstances. Like if I was invited on and told an old friend wanted to see me again and all my expenses were paid I might just go if the time was right. I am just too curious to say no. I don't know or understand how Maury and Jerry do those shows and have for so long. Good money, ya, but----Wow!

Heyya celticeagle! They do tell people all kinds of stuff to get them on those shows. They also foot the bills for a good episode. They have become very repetitive. Seems like the same ole cheaters over and over..lol..Thanks for responding.

I personally don't like them, nor do I watch them. There are much better things to watch on T.V.

I used to watch them, because they are addictive I guess lol.
Makes me feel better about myself as well, lol.
I say they MUST be staged, to an extent. Yes, maybe they are real life situations, but I mean, whomever is going on the show MUST know something is up, and then they're either mad, thinking it's funny, thinking it's an opportunity to, I don't know, spread their outlook on life or something.
And no, I would not go onto a show like those shows without knowing what it was about, even if they told me, I'd tell them no.

I think they have to be at least a little staged. Especially the last few years. At first...maybe not...but when they saw the ratings..I'm thinking so. No way I'd agree to coming on a show. They say everything to get people on there..reunion with old friends..long lost relative..makeover..I'm onto them..LOL

These shows are crap. jerry springer and maury show are popular because people want to see crap and there are people who are ready to wash their dirty linen in public for a five minute of fame. I don't like watching these shows although sometimes I am curious to know what their topic is about. I do think that most of the shows are staged and exaggerated.

Hi Shar! That's what I thought too! I was just sitting there looking around to see everyones reaction and they all seemed very into it..lol..I think your right that they are mostly staged. I can't imagine people getting up there and acting the way they do sometimes. Thanks for responding.

Hey Jen! I can't believe that there are so many stupid,
disgusting low life morons that are willing to bring their
trashy and pathetic lives on national tv! I have seen both
shows and I find it really hard to believe that Jerry and
Maury, who are very intelligent men actually host these shows!
They make me so sick! I have watched them from time to time
just out of disbelief! I keep hoping that they are staged,
but I honestly think that they are real! And that's the
worst part of it! These people exist and are that disgusting!

Heyya Opal! I agree that there are people out there capable of some crazy stuff! And crazier even to air it out on TV! WOW..it is crazy! Jerry had a little drama go on with him just before he ran for office when he was younger. He even used it in his campaign..lol..I think it might have been hooker related. Thanks for the input. Take care.

The mind boggles...I have often wondered whatever possesses these people! I have watched Jerry Springer before but I've never seen the Maury show.
I am inclined to think that some of the scenarios may be staged because although the world is a weird and wonderful place, is it really that weird? If it is and the J.S. is genuine be afraid, be very afraid...
No I would not choose to be a guest and as far as watching it; I don't usually have a problem being entertained by mindless trash in fact I enjoy it, but Jerry Springer is too much even for me!

My son was telling me about one of his friends that had been on Jerry Springer. He said that the guy told him that he and his wife made up everything and went on the show and acted like they were split up and real mad. So yes, I would say a lot of the things you see on the show isn't true. I have watched Maury some, I call it the "your not the baby's daddy" show I just can't believe that women will get on there and keep getting tested again and again to see who the father is. I mean, some of them has had this done around 10 or more times and still don't know who the father is. I'd be to ashamed to get on tv like that, I'm sorry but before I'd do that I believe I'd just have to tell my kids that I didn't know who their father was when they got older. Anyway I haven't watched it in a long time because I think it stupid.

I was flipping the channels on day not to long ago and come across the true hollywood story on the Trash Talk Shows and they were saying that most of them are totally made up. They were giving numbers like 5 out of 10 shows aired was true. Which i can see to a point. I myself could never go on a show like that, nor even Dr. Phil. I know we all have life issues but I don't need the whole world knowing my issues, let alone having to come back to my small neighborhood to face everyone. I watch these shows from time to time when there is nothing else on, and think my lord... where on earth are these people coming from, and don't they have any self respect?.

No way I'd get on one either. I'm with you on that. Everybody does have issues but I'm more of a private person and I would take a beating before I talked about anything on TV. Much less the things those people get up there and say. Small towns would be the worst to come back to after being on TV..lol. Thanks for the response and take care.

Jerry Springer is the absolute worst. I have never watched an entire show. Maury isn't quite as bad but it gets old. One will confess some big dark secret on national tv. The victim ...shocked...never fails to get up and walk off the set with maury chasing and talking him/her into coming back. I used to occassionally watch Maury but that started getting almost as bad as Springer. I don't watch any of them now. Staged? I don't know. Would I air my dirty laundry on tv? No!

i used to watch maury but gottired of it already. some people are in denial of having their own child from women they dont like so this woman puts their selves on a situation that the man can no longer deny. that is if they proved, that man is the father, but if it dont then that will be humiliating themselves. i watched a few of maury but not the jerry springer show.

I have heard the jerry springer show is staged. It sure seems like it to me. I dont know about the talk shows. I think they are real but i believe they know what the topic of the day is before they go. They have a thing at the end of the show something like: "if you have a mate that you think cheated call ######" So i belive they know the topic.

It would seem to me they are staged too. I can't imagine their stories sometimes. I'm thinking about the other person not knowing the topic. I saw one where they told this woman she was getting a makeover so her lover could confess he was cheating. I would never be on one..lol..Thanks for the response.

No I don't watch Jerry shows I think they are stupid and silly.I think some people would do anything for a little bit of money.I don't know how much they get paid but they couldn't pay me enough to do those things.I just think they are made up.
