it's better for me not to pronounce my birthday, so that you could not celebrate it costly. because if all of your officemates will know that it's your birthday, they would rather forced you to celebrate it with foods, drinks, which is out of your budget.

Last month is my birthday I did tell my friends when is my birthday but I don't invite them. Now that I'm 26 I don't want to have a party anymore. I don't tell my birthday to my co-workers because they going to ask me for blowout. I'm going to be the center of attention so I decide it is better to don't tell it to anyone.

No,I don't tell my birthday to my co-worders and most of the friends,I have no intention to tell them about this, only some very close friends know the birthday of mine and I think it's enough.if you like to have a party and celebrate your birthday, you should tell some of your friends so the party will be lively and enjoyable

Hi Cindy,
Here in our office, they usually post the birthdays of all staffs. So there is no way that we can hide our birthday. Also in our office website, all employees who have birthdays in every month, they have it posted in our website as in all of the names, complete names and birth date.
Every now & then here alone in our office, every celebrant will have a small celebration of their birthdays, they will bring or order food so that everyone can have s share of it. While other staff will have this contributions of money to buy the birthday celebrant a remembrance or a simple gift, so that the birthday celebrant will be happy or touched upon receiving what we have given them.

No i don t tell about my birthday, i like to let peoples who want to know to find the answer.
i don t like to push peoples to say to me "happy birthday", i let who like me to ask somebody else when is my birthday, for me is nice to be a surprise if somebody know about my birthday.
Any way, my birthday was few days ago, and i don t say this , was a special day for myself, i don t want let peoples to feel forced to say to me happy birthday...i don t know why.

I just spent my birthday last month with two of my friends. One year older again. My friends remembered my birthday date and called me that day.And some old friends send messages to me,we are not at the same city,so cann't happy together that day. I don't like to tell my birthday to colleagues,as we cann't be close. However, if you like noisy and lively party,u can invite all ur friends, that's all depends ur character.

I prefer for people not to know my bithdate simply because I have always been a very shy person and I hate being the centre of attention and although I love giving presents and making a fuss of other people I hate being the one made a fuss of so i just don't tell anyone my birthdate...

Hi! Cindy!
I also do not tell my birthday to all. My dear friends know about my birthday and they do not fail to wish me on my birthday. I think birthday is one of the special days of the year for us and we must celebrate the same.
Would like to extend my wishes to you on your birthday, so you please let me know your birthday through Private Message.

i don't usually tell my friends or colleagues when my birthday is, unless they ask me or if circumstances require me to do so. i dont do it on purpose though because i dont think it's really necessary to mention it to everyone. i love celebrating birthdays though, it's one of the little things i look forward to every year!

I do not tell people about my birthday unless it somehow comes out in a discussion and everybody is knowing other's birthdays. Most of my friends know about my birthday and they make sure that they wish me, and I also do not forget their birthdays most of the time.

I most not tell my birthday to friends, but in my office my colleagues they easily find out whose birthday is going on that day, they are always in search of that.

That's the case with me! some people don't really remember the exacte day about my birth day, however, few of them do remember. as i don't need a party on my birthday,so maybe i'll just have a piece of cake with my roomates. and i will be likely to recieve birthday messsage from those friends who still remember my birthday! in that case,it is better for me to make my birthday at ease!

I don't tell friends about my birthday because firstly you are getting old. I know it's something to celebrate about but it's not something for me. But of course if i really want them to know it i would mention it a few days before because a girl like me would want some presents on two from the most closest friend that is. I will definitely be mad if my bf doesn't get me anything on my birthday or even remember it. That's just plain wrong but in any event, he might be too busy and I would understand in certain cases. If it's friends but not close friends, I don't care wheather they know or not but if it's real close friends, i prefer they know it.

All of my current friend know when my birthday is. I don't really tell my co-workers, mainly because I always take a vacation day on my birthday. Actually, many times I have scheduled a vacation for that whole week, so I'm not even around work on the date of my birthday. I am not one to make a big deal out of it. I try and set up something that I enjoy doing, whether it's going to a casino or just to dinner and a movie with friends.

Hi, Cindyhxf! Here in our company, employees' birthdays are posted on our bulletin board all over the place. So even if we try to keep our birthday a secret, we just can't, and at the same time we need not to inform or announce it to everyone because they'd know eventually. Personally, though, I do not like letting other people know when my birthday is. If he/she is a friend, then he/she would know. :)

I like to tell anybody and every body that it is my birthday because it is a very special day :)
I am just kidding although it is a special day to me, I usually keep it quiet...the only people that really know are my family and friends. I think as you get older it becomes a little less exciting because you don't want to admit to getting older. I still like to celebrate it but I don't want a lot of strangers/co workers knowing..sharing with my family is good enough.

I tell my close friends about my birthday because they're on my second place in lists of people that I want to celebrate birthday with (first place is my family). If I'm going to tell my co workers, it will be the closest ones. But for others, I will tell the date only when they asked.
Now since you brought up this discussion, and even though I don't know when is your birthday; well,..'Happy Birthday' in advance!

Definitely not! Because aside from asking for a blow-out, they would keep bugging you about your age and if you're still single and not getting any younger you will definitely be a butt of joke. So for me, I'd rather they don't know or they don't remember.
