How do you define a good webcomic?

I'm actually planning to start my own webcomic about office life. My previous comics are quite popular among my friends and now I've decided to take it to the next level.
But I'm not sure if I should follow XKCD's style - as in stickman to deliver the message or should I produce a more unique art style.
Also, what are the elements which are important for a good webcomic?
If anyone of you know, care to share with me? I'm looking to improve.
Thanks!

I would start a more unique type of art. My husband is starting a web comic as well. He drew out these little guys and it's hilarious. All our friend love them and we're working out storylines. It'll be a couple of months until he can quit his day job, though. Do a unique art style, that's what made my husband's popular. Also, post your guys' design on deviantart.com so that it's proof of a copyright.

I have an account in deviantart actually. I'm currently doing short comic strip style about office life but my ultimate dream is to produce a graphic novel. I already have a story in my mind but my art is pretty bad. LOL. Best of luck to your husband. I would love to see the web comic one day.
