If you buy your camera, which one do you prefer? Canon or Nikon? Some said that Nikon is cheaper than a canon...others said Canon took a good shot than Nikon... What do you think? and what will you prefer?

I think it all depends on what you are looking for. I personally have never used a canon, but I own a Nikon CoolPix. My husband bought it for me for christmas, and I can honestly say I love it. It is my first digital camera, and I was surprised how easy it is to use. It takes high quality pictures. I just got some printed out, and was amazed how wonderful they turned out.

I also have a Nikon Coolpix - L4, but have a problem with the batteries running out very quickly. How long do your batteries last?

I prefer Canon, but my digital camera is BENQ. Most of my friends have Canon camera. They always tell me that it can take a good shot and its quality worth its price. Maybe next time I will buy a Canon.

oh. May I know what model did u use for benq? How's the quality of pictures? I think the BENQ is manufactured from TAiwan if I am not mistaken. Although, it is very cheaper but I am not sure of quality of pictures and the quality of the camera itself. Are all the features complete? Haven't tried and tested but I have seen alot of ebay sellers sell these.

In the past I had a Canon camera, but it didn't work later and I got it fixed. But it was broken again. This is why Canon left me a bad impression. I will choose Nikon and I am interested in D90 very much because it has a good feature and its price is very reasonable. I love China

I've heard Canon is not worth the price, but I've never had one. I have a Nikon, and I bought a Nikon for my mom, and they were cheap and really good quality. I recommend the Cool Pix series.

Yes, you are right..Canon are very expensive but lacks of features..the reason why I like the canon ixus is because of the brand and the size. I haven't tried the coolpix series but I want something that is very crystal clear and sharp images, do u know what model do you suggest? Thank you. Maybe I'll try one for my sis.

I use a canon, and I think it is much better than the nikon. I looked at the nikon and I just didn't like it nearly as much as I liked the canon.

Well in my opinion i feel both camera are equally good in their onn ways. Well i have eve heard of people saying that, if one wants to take portrait shots he or she should go for cannon and if one wants to take shots of object one should go for nikon. well it's really intereting how people decide and come with such claims. whether or not such claims are true i am not sure. Well but to me i would go for a cannon. I have been using cannon cameras for 3 years and have not had a single problem with mine. I like the interface, the functions are rather user friendly and not forgetting the excellent customer support i get. I believe Nikon is equally good. But it all boils down to how one looks at them. to me i would prefer a cannon..

I have never owned a Canon - but I havent really heard anything bad about them either. There are a lot of factors to consider. What kind of camera are you looking for? A point and shoot or an SLR? What is readily available in your area? How much are you looking to spend? All of these answers can lead you to answering which camera each person should get. My husband and I chose a Nikon D40. We love it! The only problem is that there is only 1 camera and 2 of us. It takes beautiful pictures. We have gotten many pictures from it that will be framed. We also have our eye on a Nikon D90. It is better than the D40 (but also more expensive) and that way we would have 2 cameras so that we can each take pictures at the same time. I cant speak for the Canon, but I definitely recommend the Nikon. I have played with other Nikons that others own, and they have always been great camera.
