This is one of many radishes I planted less than a week ago. They are already coming up in droves. I planted a 10 foot row with maybe 40 or more total. They get really tall once fully grown and actually look pretty. Do you like radishes? How do you eat them? I slice some for salads but also munch on them fresh from the plant. I love that taste.

I like them in salads...
Which reminds me of a saying I learned while I was in Germany (translated):
Viewing the radishes from underneath.
More colorful than "kicked the bucket"...

Yeah, radishes grow fast, we used to plant those too, once you pick it you have to plant another one in its place. My husband almost couldn't keep up with eating them, I don't eat radishes, he does tho.

Hi GRANDPA BOB,
I do love radishes in my salad and I love it because of their crunchyness.

That picture is of a healthy, beautiful radish! I used to stagger the plantings so I'd have them all summer long. They are great in green salads, potato salads, or grated into cole slaw. They acutally have a lot of healthy properties to them, as well.
My sister used to pick them from the garden, brush them off, and make radish sandwiches using the saltines she'd carried out with her!
Happy gardening!

I love radishes too. I slice them, or cut them into quarters and toss them into my salad. They're particularly good with watercress rather than lettuce. I've grown some before, and home grown ones do taste better, my friend. Enjoy them when they're finally harvested!
Brightest Blessings.

I love radishes but have to buy then in the store. I know they taste lots better when you grow them youself. Did you ever try a radish sandwich? slice your radishes onto butter bread very good.

I haven't had a radish in a long time and when I did I didn't really care for the taste of it. I may start growing some b/c the diet I will be going on in some of the cakes they call for radishes to make it moist.

We are just getting warm enough here to consider planting here. I have not grown them out like you have. I am looking @ trying to grow them in a container as they dont' need a huge depth to grow and it'll save me some space in our garden.

I've never really liked radishes but I love eating carrots straight from the ground. Radishes are good in salads as long as there aren't too many of them. That really came up fast! I do love the color of radishes, they make nice garnish.

I bet those fresh radishes are gorgeous, I buy radishes for my salads. I am the only one in my house who likes them but they are so refreshing and crunchy!!

I do not particularly like radishes, but my husband does. I have a package of seed I need to go sprinkle out. He will eat them fresh from the garden, I am sure.

I like radishes ever so often. I planted alot of green onions and they are huge right now. I picked and ate some today on top of my homemade nachos. I like to eat raw radishes also even though it burns the nasal passage sometimes LOL.

I haven´t planted radishes for many years because the kids didn´t like them. Then I forgot. My baby daughter is way over 40 now and both girls have their own houses. Yer customs die hard. I like them cut into flowers them let it become crisp in watewr. Finally I put oil, salt and lots of lemon juice.
I´m in auumn but my potatoes are growing
