Why is a Book Called a Book?

I have always wondered why a book is called a book?
I tried asking this questions in other sites too but to my surprise no one knows it..
Any answer for this guys???

lol! I have no idea!!! Why is it we can use the same word and say we are going to "book" a flight? Ever wonder how that came up? And how come we call the "Bible" a book... when it is actually 66 little "books"?
Is it possible that the root of "book" means something akin to collection? or story? or something like that??
