I don't really think you need a catchy internet related name for an internet cafe..just having an "Internet Cafe" sign outside should be enough to bring in those needing a quick email fix passing by! Good luck with the cafe!

Could you come up with something using your names or the location of your new premises? Will you be serving foods, cold or hot as a part of the business? The "Bytes" gag works with food, but not so much if you just sold drinks..give us a few hints to work with!

There are a number of food names associated with the Internet and computers. Off the top of my head: Byte, Surf['n' Turf], Java ... I like short and catchy names that connect two things - ideal for a place that has two functions - usually the two words are one syllable each and either rhyme or are alliterative (as in Surf'n'Turf or Snack & Surf). Then there are names made up of initials of words which describe the business (so that people know the initials but are mentally curious about what they stand for). If your business serves snacks, has Internet access and you want it to be a social center, you might choose Snack, Surf and Chat ... SSC. Three letters work best for this and they shouldn't suggest any large corporation or anything else that people might misunderstand. Your signboard would, of course, have the TLA and the explanation. Anything with an @ in it or .com or .net at the end suggests the Internet, so 'Coffee Dot Com' would be a potential good 'un (except that you might come up against legal objections from Peets, who own that URL and Chefseattle, who appear to own the .net one!) ... if you think of anything similar, make sure you check it out to see if it's already owned - if it isn't, BUY IT!!! (.com and .net names only cost about $20). A good name might be 'Coffee@ ...' and the street, building or even the city name. Sometimes just one word is good, even if it really has nothing to do with the business. I guess that you want something lively (so 'Bonsai' would probably not be a good choice. In the UK, 'bon' is well known as the French for 'good' but 'sai' means nothing and the whole word - meaning a miniature tree - would suggest something calm, upmarket, slow growing (or long lived), elite and exotic: all quite desirable names for, for example a hairdressers, furniture store (especially one selling futons, perhaps) or upmarket Japanese food! Since you are in the Philippines, you may know catchy names which use interlingual puns - words that, for example, mean one thing in English and another in Tagalog (or whatever your local language is - sorry, I know Tagalog is the common language in Davao: I don't recall the names of the other main Filipino languages!) Be inventive, bold, sassy and, above all, make a household name for yourself and be successful! I wish you the best ... and the ability and strength to handle trouble when it occurs!

If you'll be serving snacks you can call it "Nibbles and Bytes" instead of "bites" since it is computer terminology. Just a thought. Whatever you name it, best of luck to you and your sister, I hope your business will be a smashing success!

what does your building look like? what was there before? What does your little cafe look like? What kind of theme do you have? what kind of hip, new thoughts and new hype runs through your mind when you think of your internet cafe? These are some questions you might want to come up with when writing a list of new names, look for listings online of other cafes that have hip and neat names, then find something absolutely fabulous you can call it! :) good luck and have a great day!

How a simple MyCafe? It's got a good recall and it's quite related to being online which kind of suggest websites like myspace and mylot. Of course, few people might be unfamiliar with mylot but there's no doubt that majority of people owns a myspace account. Here are some of my suggestions: 1. Speedy's 2. Log Zone 3. ..or Bonsai's Place

If you have plan to use colourful interior for internet cafe, i think the name should be representing the situation. Perhaps 'Go-Go Net' is good. It also depends on your services. If your internet cafe also offers internet multiplayer games, i think 'Bang-Bang Net' is good. You can also use a name which literarily representing the place, such as 'GamezNet', 'My-Net', or 'CyberNet'. Good luck for you and have a nice day. Happy mylotting.
