I am an Agoraphobic and therefore I DO NOT leave my home unless I am forced too due to illness. Anyway my husband built a fitness room that is fully loaded, it is a lot like going to a gym, in fact my friends come here to work out for free and to see me...lol. Anyway I work out everyday, I rotate the different parts of my body that I workout each day like one day is for my legs, then my abs, then my arms, and I walk everyday on my treadmill. I got my routine from afitness trainer. I work out for 2 hours everyday. So how about you how many times a week and for how long do you work out??

Hello Ozarkgirl,
I work out from the time my 2yr old wakes up, untill he goes to bed, bcause I have to chase him pretty much all day.

For a couple of months, I was going to the gym regularly. I would spend about 45 minute to an hour and a half there. I did some leg work and some arm work. Mostly, though, I was doing cardio exercises.
When we got back from vacation, I just couldnt motivate myself to go anymore! I do not enjoy going to the gym. To me, it is a chore and and not a release like some people see it!
Instead, I have adapted things that work for me. I often go for walks when the weather is nice. Sometimes I will just walk around the neighborhood. Other times I will stop at a park and walk along one of the trails. It still helps me get exercise and I enjoy it!
I also purchased a stability ball. It came with a workout DVD. I will sometimes do that. I will concentrate on upper body, lower body, or core. I am not ready to do all 3 of them at once! I usually spend about 30 minutes doing that. But I havent been doing that very often either. I should put that in when I get home today!

We all have our own ways to get and stay fit. So good for you. Honestly if my husband had not put in a home gym, and if I was not an Agoraphobic ( I spend all my time at home and that is a lot of time) I would not work out as much as I do...lol. Thanks for sharing!!

I wish I had a home gym! I go to my local gym..usually 4 days a week. When I go to the gym I spend anywhere from 1.5 hours to 2.5 hours there. I love working out. On the days I don't go to the gym I stay at home and do pilates, tae boa, kick boxing, belly dancing, walking, ect. I have ALOT of workout DVDs. I usually take 1 day off per week from working out, sometimes 2. These days are most likely saturdays and/or sundays. If I miss a workout during the week I will sometimes make up for it by working out on one of the weekend days. I workout soo much and very hard, it's suprising I'm not super thin. I just have a love for food! Lol.

Wow you are so lucky to have your very own gym at home. I have a lifetime membership in a gym. That is why I never buy even a treadmill to be used at home. I usually go to the gym after the Christmas and New Year holidays and in the summer months. This is usually January to May. As for the rest of the months, I do not usually hit the gym anymore. When I do go to the gym, I work out for an hour and a half three times a week. I usually just go to walk in the treadmill and focus on some exercise equipment which targets the arms.

I have fibromyalgia so I have to go to physical therapy twice a week and do workouts there to keep my muscles and joints working correctly and I do about an hour a day at home to also stay as healthy as possible and for my medical problems. I have an ab lounge and I have the wii and the wii fit so those three combined and my physical therapy I usually get a good workout routine going on.

I'm still a teenage girl and I've decided to get fit this summer. I go to the gym for like 6 days a week, each day consumes for 2-3 hours. Then at Sunday, which is supposed to be my rest day, I decided to walk and jog in the treadmill for a maximum of 30 minutes. I've just started to work out this summer break,so probably I've not reached a month yet but close to it. As of now,I'm loving exercise and workout, it makes me feel relieve and satisfied. With my age, I gotta stay pretty and fit to boosts up my self-esteem.:)
