Some may say that beauty is superficial, but let's face it, it is that one thing that most people want. Some even shell out a lot of money for it. There are cultures wherein beauty has been emphasized since birth. There is definitely a reason for this. Why do you think beauty is important?

for me external beauty is worth less , because until and unless you are beautiful from inside you can not get respect in you life. what is the profit in having a good and a beautiful body and not having a beautiful mind. I think that we emphasize more on external beauty because we want to pretend that we are the best in an aspect in which we are not.

That is true, because external beauty does not last forever - though some find it a necessity and they have not realized yet that it is what lies in the heart that matters.

For me,beauty can give me encourage and confidence. But my skin is oily,so the acne makes me so painful. What's more, If a boy told u that he don't mind whether u r beautiful or not, don't believe him,to a great extent,he just wanna make u happy.

Of course... There are certain things that are happening to our bodies that only us could understand. Hey WGH423, have you consulted with a dermatologist? I'm sure a good dermatologist would be able to reco a medicine or products that you can use that can help you :)

beauty is important to make you feel good about yourself. one of the basis in hiring staff in every company is because of their looks too. but if somebody is beautiful physically but ugly inside,it will just do nothing. people will only look bad on you.

I've heard somewhere that people should not put their photos on their resumes to avoid discrimination of some sort BUT if you land that interview, people from that company will still see you. Yeah. No matter how much some companies say that they don't look at a person's physical appearance, I guess at the back of their heads, they are still geared to choose a person who is more "visually appealing"... Unless of course your profession is a model or something that requires you to really look good -- that's a different story. A person should really strike a good balance of being beautiful inside and out.
