Strange - what would make my earnings decrease in one day?

I have been on mylot on and off this morning. When I first went on the site I noticed my earnings had been calculated already and I was pleased with my progress - albeit not much. However it was just decreased and I have no idea why. Has this ever happened to you? What caused it?

One of the possibilities of earnings being reduced is when you response to a discussion which has violated the terms of service of mylot, and the discussion had been deleted, thus, the earnings will also be reduced.
However, whatever had been done cannot be undone. Just ensure that the discussions has not violated the terms of service before responding to them in future, otherwise you will be wasting your time on that.

Hi bloglog...and thanks for the advice. Still for the life of me I cannot figure out what I did wrong. I appreciate the response and I'll try to be more discerning in the future.

If you made a post that was really short or not relevant or something like that. Or possibly one that had to be deleted. Those kind of posts will get earnings decreased when they go back and look over them.

Hi pkmaster...Sometimes I have made short posts - it all depends on how much I have to say. After all some discussions require a more lengthy response than others. I truly try to watch every word I say and not offend anyone. I hope I didn't do something like that. Thanks for the information.

If you contributed to a discussion that was in violation of the terms of service, that discussion may have been deleted. If you earned anything for your contribution to that discussion, that contribution would be taken away when the discussion was deleted.
To avoid this in the future, read over the terms of service. Make sure you are familiar with them. Then, whenever you come across a discussion that violates them, report it and move on your way. Dont waste your time contributing to that discussion because you will not earn anything from it!
Hope this helps! Happy mylotting!

Hi derlila...Thanks for the information - I can't for the life of me think of what discussion I could have responded to that it was in violation. Is there any way to tell? The problem is that I respond to discussions and then move on - I forget what I have written and what discussion it was. I'll look over the terms of service today and see what I could have done. Thanks for the information!
