guys with long hair - cool or not?

Hi, gicolet! It all depends on how neat they keep it. I think that a man is very sexy if he has light brown hair and jet black heir that is very long. Just as long as it is not to his rear end, though. I think that it looks good on a man, if he takes care of it and keeps it neat and clean. It makes them appear cool and conservative. And of course sexy as well. The attitude has a lot to do with how cool he is too.

First of all, I wouldn't date a guy with long hair...cause I'm a guy. (and yes, that matters to me) Secondly, I have long hair. It just about nearly touches the top of my butt. Thirdly, I am a musician, and I guess, somewhat of a throwback to the hippie generation. I love the music of that era. (Well wouldn't I? I'm from that generation.) The only thing I don't have or ever owned, is a Harley. Nope. But I DID have my souped-up muscle car back then...which was definitely cool! And as far as my "hippie" girlfriend is concerned...she still thinks I'm pretty cool too...and over the years, my cooking skills have improved. Hmm? You may have a point here. Silly. You dont have to be a musician to have long hair. Or visa versa. I love long hair on guys. Dated them too. Jesus had long hair. we always used to tell granny that when she complained about guys with long hair. I came from the 70's and im 53 now but i still love the long hair.

Hello gicolet , I have always prefered guy with long hair. As a matter of fact my b/f has longer hair than I have.When we first started dating he had short hair but I convinced him to let his hair grow out and what he is going to do is he will donate his hair for cancer patience for wigs. He and I were discussing this and he said he always wanted too grow his hair long and he now has a reason to keep growing it. He has really beautiful hair. It is black and straight and it is like hair that comes on dolls.Guys with long hair, I think cool.

Not really sure how to respond to this. I'm a guy and I have really long hair. In fact if you look at my profile picture to the left, well..thats me. LOL!! Its long yet, brushed and washed daily and well taken care of. Yes I'am a rocker. I write and play music and did it for a professional regional rock/metal band for years. So your observations about some guys with long hair being musicians is very astute. However, If I may point out that many do not. In this day and age, I would think that people shouldn't be judged on the length of their hair. It should not be the deciding factor in one's judgement of the partuclar person. To be honest, people should stop trying to judge others and focus on themselves or a way to better the world around them. People are people. I am usually not interested in guys with long hair, but once in a blue moon, I will see a long haired guy (usually on tv) that looks so good with it. So I guess it just all depends on the guy. But I don't like the guys that have the really girly like long hair, with the layers and parted to the side.

I don't think it looks good but I guess its the new thing. My nephew has long hair and he is always wearing a hat that should be worn during winter. I think long hair on a guy makes them look dirty for some reason.

I tried to grow my hair long. Some of those I know thought that it was cool while others didn't share the same opinion. In the long run, it still depends on how others appreciate things or its just a matter of preference. Some guys might be able to carry their long hair and look nice but, some just don't like guys have long hair even if they really do look cool for everyone else.

guys with long hair may not be judge whether cool or not. it is still how he was brought up by his parents. most of guys with long hair probably just love fashion. some are just saving their money for haircut as this is expensive in some countries. some may have been maintaining that long hair as part of their ancestral custom or perhaps a tradition in the family.

no I hate them all , this style makes me feel really sick coz when see someone with long hair I feel like he never get in a bath hahha I don't know why I feel in this way !! even people who do that they must really have issues on beauty or something !!

well for me, guys with really long hair just look unnatural and weird..i think mid length hair should be fine. And guys with long unkempt hair looks really messy...and usually they won't give good impression on other people, unless they are rock stars for famous people...like Einstein, who is known to have a unique messy but brilliant hairstyle..

I have always thought guys with long hair were so cool. In my younger days I would not date a guy unless he had long hair. Now, that I am older and wiser, and 53 year old, I still prefer guys with long hair and think they are cool. I like this discussion.

It was cool for men to look like girls in the 80s lol. I dont like men with really long hair. Its kind of a bit of a turn off for me, but I dont like men who shave all of their hair off either.

ew, no Id rather not anyone with longer hair then mine. I mean, my hair is shorter then it used to be, I mean I used to have decently long hair, but then cut 8 inches off for cancer patients. but still, I totallly wouldnt like to date someone with longer hair than mine. I mean, I love medium length hair on guys, like skater hair type deal length? hahahah. I dont really like like reallly short hair. it bothers me. but when I think of guys with long hair, I think like ... random high hippy. =| with dreads. hahahah ! guys with long hair can be cool, like their personality could be great, but their hair needs to be .. cut. =p =)

hi gicolet! i think it depends on how the guy carry his long hair. there are just those guys who look really cool with it. and there are those who look like a walking abused broomstick. ^^;; a long hair requires a lot of care and if a guy knows how to take care of his hair, then i think he can look good with it. and then, my first impression would depend on how they look and what kind of long hair they sport. like, if its braided, then the guy probably likes bob marley or anything reggae. if its a long straight black hair, wow, this guy's probably a model or someone popular. if the hair is messy, like it hasn't been combed for a week or a month, then its probably a beggar. LOL

I've never really watned to date a guy with hair longer than mine.

Hello gicolet, Personally I don't like a guy with long hair. I prefer to have a partner with short hair. If can, shorter than my hair (I have a short hair too) I don't find it is cool for guys to have long hair but it is just my personal view.

As a guy myself, I can't understand why a men would want long hair. It looks dumb. It would make me get hot and sweaty a lot quicker as well.

Definitely not cool. I think if it is longer than barely hitting the shoulders it's just weird. They don't fix it-they shouldn't too much anyways so it just looks gross. It depends on the type of person that has the long hair...like I was in front of a person in line the other day with hair down to his butt. It was very wavy and cleam. I noticed that. But I did not like it. He was wearing a big black trenchchcoat and tah whole big baggy black thing and it's spring. That tells me he's trying to be different. Then there's some like my dad who has a little ponytail and wears glasses-he looks like a profesor sort of-probably because he is! there are many different types so I can't judge until I know.

it seems cool for a man with long hair,in my mind,a man with long hair could probaly work in areas relating to art.he could be a painter,an actor,a singer,a director,ect.
