NBC's online poll: should 'In God We trust" be removed from US money?

There's been much controversy over whether removing "in God We Trust" from US currency should be allowed. NBC is having a live poll today, and you can vote 'yes, it is a violation of principle of the separation of church and state" or 'no The motto has historical and patriotic significance...." So far in the poll collected, 87 percent think we should retain that historical phrase on our currency, and 13 percent say it should be removed. Would you go and vote today? You don't need to be a registered voter to participate. This may be the only way we can have a say in it at all! So, which to you think? Remove that phrase from our currency, or keep them? That is right V. get on them, I was thinking the same thing about the Ameican Flag, or Pledge of Legion. There was a contraversy about that at one time.

I think it should stay too, Because in God We Trust, well, I don't know how anyone else feels about this but I think it should stay. But one thing is everybody has a different religion. So maybe that is why they want to remove it. Ok, I will check it out.

I don't see a reason why it should be removed but honestly, I don't care about it at all.

Thanks for sharing this link, I was sent the link in an email last week and couldn't get to the poll page. I believe In God We Trust should be kept on it. Glad to see more agree to keep it than not.

The massive mess this country is in and this is what the government is focusing on? This has been going around for years and they want to do something about it now? I would say "you've got to be kidding!" but I know ou aren't. I know it is going to be front and center here probably shortly. Massive unemployment, low GNP, banks failing, foreclosure frienzy and the list goes on but hold that hog-leg cowboy - - let's reinvent the design of our currency! That is what this country needs right now!!!!!

Thank you my dear for sending this to me. I am not a US citizen but will cast a vote if I am allowed to do so. I find it so difficult to believe that the government of your country should even consider removing that phrase from their currency. God has blessed your country so richly and yet you would want to remove His name from our currency?
I mean no disrespect to your country at all but would be appalled if the citizens allowed this to happen. Many blessings
