I never have cat before, but I think some cat does that too. You have to keep those food away from her, otherwise she will eat until she die. taking care of cat is hard and I never want to have one either, too busy

Well, i dun have any cats.. lol =D If she starts to eat too much, then u can only blame yourself for feeding it too much in the first place.. By time u realise it, your cat would have already gotten used to the amount of food, and thus she's eating that 'much', when it's her normal serving just like the past.. lol =D

I finally read the back of the package for the dry cat food *LOL* I have a big guy he's atleast 16lbs and he is persistantly bugg'n you if his dish is empty. Sad thing is his sisters are maybe 1/3 his size and he pretty much shoves them aside so when I do refresh the bowls I make sure he's in a bedroom or somewhere so they get a shot at some food! *L* They are all finally getting used to it and it's nice that the food is lasting longer. I don't know what to say about the tail biting, that maybe a question of concern to ask your vet as you don't want your cat to harm themselves or cause infection over this.

My friend here in this site normally just put a 2 bowls. one for cat food and one for water. He was considering a milk but he fears that ants might take the credit drinking the Milk. Well, regarding your problem, Maybe you should feed then when they feel hungry and started meowing in you. that way you will know their hungry. or at least two times a day i think.

Can not let the cats eat all long ,we should control his appetite .This is good for his health. My cats eat a lot of day ago .Doctor said that had obesity ,we must lose weight. otherwise it would affect their health.I began to slowly reduce his food intake .and now every day to control his appetite .He is very healthy .

This is definitely more of an owner problem than your cat. It's up to you to limit her daily food intake. Cut back slowly and gradually, maybe find healthier snack alternatives to decrease her caloric intake. Our cat is a fatty as well and although she pesters us for food, we ignore her and carry on with our lives. If ever I give her a snack, I usually toss it down the hall so she has to run after it. Every bit of movement you can get your cat to do will add up and hopefully in due time, she'll reduce her body fat.

The best thing to do is to stop giving her so much food! The best way is to ration her completely and right away. My cat gets 2 scoops of food a day. 1/3 cup in the morning and 1/3 cup in the evening. That is it! He doesnt need more than that, but he would eat all day if we let him! If you arent comfortable doing something like that, start slowly. Instead of putting a full bowl of milk down, put down a half a bowl of milk. Dont give her more for the rest of the day. After a week or so, reduce the amount again. In order for her to lose weight, you will have to drastically cut back on the amount of food she is eating. Once she is a healthy size again, make sure you give her enough to eat so that she doesnt get too skinny, but dont let her eat all day either!
