U.S. Postage Stamps. - A postage stamp is adhesive paper evidence of a fee paid for postal services. Usually a small rectangle attached to an envelope, the stamp signifies the person sending it has fully or partly paid for delivery. Starting tomorrow May 11, 2008, there is an increase in the postage stamps. This increase is 2 cents for domestic stamps. I use these stamps and I buy them by the book. I have at least 7 stamps left on a booklet I bought earlier, these stamps are at the old price of 42 cents. Now to use these stamps I will have to have 2 more cents for the price increase. I have bills that I pay by sending them through the mail system. Do you use postage stamps? http://www.cnn.com/2009/US/02/11/stamp.increase/index.html THIS IS NOT A REFERRAL SITE NOR A LINK TO A COMPETITIVE SITE

I agree most people do use the internet now. I have to say I am not one of those people.

I do use postage stamps. And as I had heard about this a while ago, I forgot until you mentioned it. I wasn't sure what day in May it was. I hope people have a lot of forever stamps. I think it is ridiculous to raise the cost, but if I ramble about it it will still be of no use. The higher the price of the stamp, the less likely people are to use regular mail. I pay my bills through the mail. I don't want anyone taking money out of my bank account on the chance they mess up and take out too much money. Which as I know people who have had this happen, could happen to me. And then I'd have to go through trying to get it back...So I'll still use the stamps, but it is getting annoying besides expensive.

HI Chevee, thanks for informing us about the postage stamps increase. I have not used regular post for such a long time. It seems that the credit crunch is hitting every sector in our life. I wish there was a freeze on bills and other things.

This is what happend with nearly anything the federal government runs. It becomes bloated, ineffective, inefficiant and EXPENSIVE . So what else can we put these guys in charge of and ruin?

Yes I have a few bills that I pay through the mail and use stamps on. I have about 20 of them left at the old price because I also buy them in bulk.

This is obnoxious! I work in an office, and I too have stamps by the book. Now I will have to go out and buy a book of the two cent stamps! Didn't the price JUST go up, too?

I use stamps for one or two things. Someone I know found a book of forever stamps in the parking lot, in the rain. She felt rich.

I haven't heard of this! Really? Wow! Deg gone post office is really trying their best to rip all of us off! The more the internet is used the more they lose out but it's their own fault because of them raising their prices! Gee, maybe I should figure out how to pay my bills online now instead of through the deg gone mail. ARGGG!! Thanks for letting us know!!
