When we were younger, computers and gaming consoles didn't exist yet, there were still very few game n watches so we had so much time doing physical games and sports (oh how I love those days). I remember that my favorite game was when we'd play house where we'd pretend to cook and keep a home. I also loved the game where we'd be like grocers and we'd use play money and stuff. But the most exciting physical game is hide and seek and jump rope too! Not to mention marbles! and a lot more!
Oh it was such a fun time.
It's sad that most kids now are overly hooked on computers, they don't know what they're missing!
Anyhow, what was your favorite childhood game?

i didn't really have anyone to play with so i was the kid who felt happy to do his homework :P but during the summer vacations, my cousins would come over and we loved to play cricket or hide and seek.
i started video gaming later as well but i wasn't into it that much, always preferred some physical games when my cousins or friends were around.

Some of my favorite games from my childhood include hide go and seek, tag, and hop scotch. I also enjoyed jumping rope when I didn't fall on my face lol. I have heard my mom talk about playing marbles when she was a young girl. I do agree that current technology is robbing kids of going outside and being kids. Most kids now days are either on the net, in front of a tv, playing video games, or texting on a cell phone.

Well, my favourite game in my childhood was to play cricket and after when it was all dark we used to play hide-n-seek game. We were about 20 friends playing hide-n-seek and we have a huge society which was the entire boundary to hide for and one turn would almost take more than half an hour to complete. So, it feels really nice to recall the younger days which were filled with fun and playing innocently!!

Hi laydee, you are right, nowadays most of the kids are engrossed in watching cartoons, computer games and almost all things related to electrons. Just like the kids of my friends as well as my nephews, never feel bored to sit in front of either the tv or pc after school. we are pretty much the same thing at the moment.
Yeah, I love those sweet childhood days. We liked to hanging around in the nearby bushes looking for gold fish, baby birds and wild fruits. It’s so much fun as cheerful as well to have fun in the small stream with many playmates. We loved to have water battle in two groups.
We used to play hide and seek and group rope skipping. We collected and clustered the different colors of rubberbands together to become a long rubber rope. Two kids were chosen to hold either edge of the rope and swung the rope continuously and we skipped in and out of the swinging rope. The one who was hit by the rope replaced the former one to swing the rope. It was really an interesting outdoor game at that time.
Yeah, there were still lots of attractive games during those beautiful days.
Happy posting and have a nice day.

we used to play "patintero" or jumping on the box with one feet. then there's jack and the stones. then, jumping the rope and then doll playing. we had schedules between Mondays thru Thursdays on which kind of games that we should be playing with.it's nice to remember child hood games, back then computers aren't that popular unlike today. .

Well, computers and gaming consoles DID exist when I was a kid so yeah lol. But not counting anything like that, when I was a kid, my favorite game was playing hide and seek when I was really young. I always enjoyed playing that with my friends outside in around their houses. As far as board games go, I've always loved Clue. I'm even still a big fan of that board game, actually. I just don't have anyone to play it with or anything.

I liked playing candyland (a board game). As far as physical activities, tag was the one we played the most (and at night, somewhat hide & seek).

My favorite childhood game was playing marbles with my friends. It was so fun to play marbles on the streets where marbles roll over everywhere and we have to run after them to catch them. We often played marbles with other groups where we stake our own marbles in the game. That is if i lose, i must give a preset amount of marbles to the winner.

I loved to ride bikes, and like you, play house, barbies, and hide and seek. In the summer it seemed liked we were out the door the minute our mom said we could go and didn't come in except to go to the bathroom and eat. Those were great times. Yes, it is sad that kids are so hooked on computers and video games. They wouldn't know what how to play hide and seek nor use their imagination to make up games.

this is the most wonderful question i read, if given a chance to go back my childhood or if there is a machine that would go back our time " childhood " is my spot to go back, anyway with regards to the questions ask playing marble is one of my greatest treasure during childhood time.

hii laydee!
Just like you even i loved playing the house game where we would role play and do all kinds of things like cooking ,cleaning etc!
It used to be so much fun!
I have also played this market game.
I had a nice playset with all kinds of groceries and daily food items.
Using that we used to play with fake money pretending as retailers and customers.
That was a nice game too!
Wow! I 'm just remembering those days and it makes me smile!!!
Then i crossed over to the board games like brainvita with marbles, chinese checker, scrabble, snakes and ladders etc,LIFE ,Guess who and many more games!
I enjoyed a whole lot of board games.
Then in college i started playing the computer games.
So i have enjoyed just about everything that is included in playing!!!
i have enjoyed every phase well and i still do!
i like playing the UNO card game too!
I think children these days should be exposed to all kinds of games rather than confining them to one box.
Every game is a different experience!

In my childhood,I usually play with orther children,My parents will not give me some toys. What gave me the most impression is a green bear.A period of time, she is my punching bag. When I was angry,I beat her .At that time,I think she will not be hurt.Of course, now I donot think so .
