do you believe that nightmares can kill people?

last year, i have two students who died because of what they say nightmares, they just sleep and died while sleeping, this year, i have another student that died because of this. this most happens to boys at the age of 18-24 they say. i just can't imagine dying because of nightmare or just because they don't know that they have heart failure and had a heart attack while sleeping? what do you think?

yes but it must be checked by doctors what the cause
nightmares can kill people if theres a diseases complicate w/ it.
his dream maybe so wild that he cant control it in his breathing then
its his end of his life. usually it happens also if you are too heavy of what you ate. so careful when you go to sleep eat an average not so full.

i believe on what you said, eating with very full stomach at night can really give you a nightmare, that is why i am cautious to what i ate every night, i made sure that my stomach is not so full.

Really? I am sorry to hear that And i can't belive it.Nightmares can kill people i never heard this before.i had rather to belive that they have disease or something .And i am sympathetic for this.Hope they can find happy in the heaven.
Why don't ask doctor which one is the real reason.Maybe the doctor can work this out

yeah, the doctor can really tell the situation. they haven't tried to autopsy.

the dream per se isn't the cause of their deaths. it's the emotions carried over by their subconscious like being scared or too much excitement in that dream. heart arrests then follow. i've known this from some source.

I think it might have to do with breathing difficulties or the heart problem. I have heard of some people dying in their sleep and it has got to do with the heart constricting breathing. God forbids us all from ending up like that. But if you are talking about nightmares in general, I'd have been chased by the tiger, the vampire and many more.

First i am sorry to hear that,i believe that nightmares can kill people,because the medical research found the nightmares can attract the heart attack,if somebody sleep with nightmares,he can feel afriad and like the real feeling,So nightmares must can kill people.

If this is true I think that people should eat dinner atleast about 5:30pm and not after 6:00pm, because in some cases people get heart attack mostly at nights around 8pm or a little later after eating late or going to sleep on a very full stomach, some people even get terrible nightmares and possible this can lead to heart failure and heart attack while they are sleeping.

i don't think that anyone can die because of a night mare. no no it is not possible at all. i think that those students of yours might have some heart problem and it might have worsen in a nightmare. also the heart attack is not possible at this age because they are quite young now.i think you should ask this question to a professional doctor or a cardiologist.

The doctor said nightmares can't kill people.
It's just that when they eat and drink a lot before going to sleep, the food they've eaten will go up until the food blocks the air way and because they are soundly sleep they can't feel it.
Another cause is because of heart failure as you have said.

It sounds impossible to be killed just by one's nightmares. In my opinion, there must be some potential illnesses which hasn't been discovered before. M ybe they have heart attach or something else. Anyway, what killed these students must be some real disease not nightmares.

Well, i do not think nightmares can kill people. Its perhaps due to some other reasons that people die. Exceptionally, if someone suffers from heart disease, then this case is to be analyzed because a small shock can induce a major heart attack for such persons. But i don't think normal and fine students will die because of nightmares.
