I have started dieting today and I feel it is too difficult, I can hardly look at other things I want to eat so much. Ever done dieting before? Howw you feel about it?

I know how you feel - its the discipline of eating less that I find so difficult, and having an underactive thyroid doesn't help. I often find myself torn between feeling overweight, so feeling lethargic and not wanting to exercise, but needing to exercise so feeling overweight. I just keep taking my thryoid pills and trying to get on the Wii Fit when I can, and get out for walks, just burn as many calories as I can without overdoing it and knackering myself, in which case I don't exercise for days!

I am not going to gym so often because I got many works in the office and I am also studying so got little time now and with all these I am getting fat so I thought of the diet and I think no matter what I have to stick to it.

I been on a diet for over 4month now and lost23 pounds, not to bad but I should have lost more. I just take it easy on the portions cut out the breads and drink diet soda's. I count points also from the weight watcher diet. my downfall is the weekend because I don't follow the diet to well or I could have lost more than 30 pounds. I don't like dieting and I'm pretty much done now. If I can keep my weight like it is I'm happy.

I've dieted before, but I don't usually do good at diets. I lost 40 pounds once, but I also exercised a lot so I didn't have to watch what I ate as much. Now I'm trying to lose weight again, this time by exercise alone.

check your weight - see any difference??
I know how you feel about that. Before i got sexy again, I was on a hard iet and I got sick almost twice. So, my hubby would recommend me to eat at least thrice but only small amount of food. I did that after an hour of exercise for almost a month. before I knew it, i lost 10 lbs and my weist was slimmer than ever. never give up my friend.cheers!

Dieting is a terrible, terrible thing! It sets you up for failure. While you are on the diet, you are constantly craving the things you arent allowed to have. It is frustrating and an emotional battle as much as it is a physical battle. Even if you are successful with the diet and manage to lose the weight, it still is terrible! After the diet you go back to what you were doing before. Then you slowly put the weight back on. You end up just where you began! The best thing you can do is to change your lifestyle and eating habits! Make small changes to your life to get in more exercise. Take the stairs instead of the elevator. Park at the back of the parking lot. Wash dishes by hand. Do some gardening. All of these things will get you more exercise. Dont prohibit yourself from eating your favorite foods. Just eat a smaller portion of it. Drink more water. You wont be getting all of the calories from your drinks this way! Eat more fiber. Not only is it good for your body, it helps you to feel full longer! No one wants to go through each day feeling hungry! I recommend finding ways to change your lifestyle and eating habits without depriving yourself. You will still lose the weight. But you will also be happy during the process and the weight will stay off!
