After a meal in a restaurant you will check the bill? or are you shy?

hi, icesmile! When they drop the bill, as I am eating I will glance over at the bill. I don't want them seeing me look at it right away. I will sneakly look at the bill. I do want to know what I am being charged for.

I check everything before I pay it. With all the fraud and dishonesty in the world coupled with the bad economy I can't afford to be cheated out of anything. And, unfortunately, many companies and people do that and more often in these tough times. Sad but true. It is just always a good idea to check that you get what you pay for and it is to read anything BEFORE you sign it, etc. Being self-employed for so long probably has a lot to do with my being and thinking this way.

When we do go out we always, always check the bill. We are not shy about checking the bill at all and if there is a mistake we point it out. I feel like there is nothing wrong with that.

Yes, i do check the bill otherwise how will i know what to pay? Tips depend upon service. I do not just give tips. If i get poor service or poor food i do not tip anything. If the service and food is good then i tip.

I always look at my bill before I pay. I have always done that. Then I pay the bill.

of course,if not how you will know whether you pay for the item that you really order not other people's order!you definitely want to pay for the item that you eat and drink not item that you never order at all!

i always check the bill. im meticulous to everything. i often complain too if i feel that i was not treated right. it's just like i want everything to be fair and just.

We often check the bills, especially my husband. There are times when the restaurant made a mistake (we hope) and charge us for tidbits that we have not eaten, or added in items that we have not asked for. There was once when this restaurant charged us for 10 adults persons; we had 7 adults, 3 kids - 9, 6 and 2 years old. They gave us excuses but weren't able to justify for their bill. Anyway, we no longer patronise that restaurant - I told everyone I know about their dishonesty as well.

yes, after eating in a restaurant i do really check the bill because it would be more embarrassing if my money is not enough to pay! lol

I ALWAYS check my bill. I used to be a waitress, so I know honest mistakes happen all the time. I tend to be shy in some situations, but this isn't one of them. I'm not going to just hand my money out without knowing what I am paying for.

yes, i always check the bill. i want to know what i am paying for.. and if the restaurant charges any other %. if i find that there is something i have to ask with the amount, i asks the waiter, so ill understand. it's my money anyway. and so when next time if we ever eat at that restaurant again we know what to expect in our bill.

Freeheartedly, I'm not used to check bill after dinner, because my hubby will do that, so I don't worry about whether wrong or not. But then, this's a good habit.

hi icesmile I certainly check my bills in any restaurant or even in stores. Everytime I purchase something I always check the reciept...but sometimes I will foregt to check my change.. lol!

i will certainly check the amount of bill . whether it is right or wrong. After all it is the question of my hard earned money. U cannot be shy in money matters. If there is something wrong in the bill i will complain to the hotel manager.

Hmm I always check the bill saved myself 30 50 dollars from waiters and waitresses mistakes. I add it up and get money ready before the register so I look for the amount prior to. Server standing thier or not I don't care. What I hate is when you give them your credit card to pay for something and 25 mins later they come back. I wonder is thier still money on the card?

Of course, I always check the bill before paying.. why? because they might overcharge me or they might forget to include the food i have ordered in the bill.. one time, i checked the bill and they have included a meal which i didn't order.. i told the waitress nicely and she said sorry and let the cashier changed it so it's best to always check the bill before paying..

I will always check the bill before paying for it. Money is mor important than pride for me in restaurants. I would ont mind people laughing at me while I will calculate the money. After all it is hard earned moeny, isn't it?

Well i must be a bit honest here. whenever i go to check out a resturant i first look at the bil but yes i am too shy for it, but then i dont mind because then it is a money matter and my shyness wont work there i guess. so i try as possible not to be too shy over such things so i make myself a bit strong and ready for the things like these.

of course i check my bill afer eating out.i worked hard for my money and i wouldn't cheat anyone on purpose and i don't like to be cheated either.Some time they make a mistake and didn't mean to and other times they do it to get more money,

I will check the bill in a way that I will scan it. Not that I will the price and calculate and all. But I will just quickly go through it to see if what I ate is the thing put on a bill. Who knows the waiter could have got the wrong bill to the wrong table.
