Internet is a very reliable source, but you can go for books, too!. Check a book sale near your place and maybe you can find something cheap, yet interesting there. Also, you can use the book as a visual aid itself for the students. You know, kids like pictures and colors...I hope it helps. Good luck. I wish you and your students the best.

Thank you for your response I will try barnes and noble that is the only place I have as a book store near me.
If the book is not cheap to by I can take paper and take notes or ideas from the book and write them down.
Yes with the Internet being so resource I forgot about looking at books I could check the library out to I assume they should have something.
Thanks again

What a good early child hood book or website will tell you is that it is a process not a product that works. So, if you expect little cute art projects, you will only get them if you do the work.Kids will enjoy the experience, but who cares what it looks like. A learning situation that often works is to theme a unit around a book or story. For instance, Froggy Gets Dressed, is a great winter story. You also cut out cute frog figures and let kids "dress" froggy by gluing either scraps of fabric or colored paper on him. Pick a favorite spring story and work around it. You name the story, I would be glad to offer ideas. Two is rather young for actual school experiences, but great for socialization skills. Enchanted Learning is a website that has lots of cool ideas.I worked over seven years in a preschool for at risk and developmentally delayed children.

Gardengerty thank you very much again I like the froggy gets dressed idea. June 1st I go back to my preschool class.
I am subbing in the two year old room I been in there for about a month now. I was just saying to my self I was just starting to enjoy it.
We have about 21 preschools 5 kids per group so I will have my preschoolers back.
And I will miss my 2yr olds.
But I can relate to the themes we used to plan through themes but since each teacher makes there own lesson plan now we don't do themes together but I think I can do the idea with the books.
Yes I know the projects do not have to be perfect because it is there work. That's what I used to tell the one teacher don't do it for them let them do it there self that's what makes it special.

Hello emilie. I think that it is a good idea for you to always try something new to amuse the small kids to help them avoid feeling bored doing the same activities. But I don't have such websites due to my lacking such experience of working for so small kids. I think that small competitions among them might be something that can interest them. As you know, kids love to be praised by their teachers for those activities. Good luck with you, emilie.

Heyya emilie! Two year olds can be a handfull! They have very short attention spans so whatever you chose will have to be limited to their attention abilities. I don't know of any websites but finger painting is great. It can get a little messy though. Children that age like to sing songs too. Hop scotch might be fun for outside. Maybe you could even catch some ants or butterflies for them to look at. Good luck.

Yes that is a great idea with finger paints I am really not big on it but I have been coming a long way with painting with the children.
I was afraid of it because it is very messy. Yes I have a child that is really into bugs he likes collecting bugs.
Yes they are a handful. I have one very attached one who wants to go home with me every nite and cries when I leave to go home. I been with him since he was 6wks old in the infant room when I used to work in there.

Music that the kids can sing. My niece just sits around singing the songs from her preschool all day long. They have a helper of the day and spend most of the day singing songs about them.

Yes the 2 year olds love to sing. Even when circle time is over and we are free playing or doing a project they will want to sing barney or wheels on the bus.
Plus I have a few cd's they like to dance to like the wiggles and some other funny that had different songs on it like waddle like a penguin, animals birthday, cookie monster, ect...
Thank you for your response

I play house keeping job with my 1 year and 9 months son.. I will show him how to fix his toys.. and also how to clean .. I know it's too early but, now he is doing it.. It's so nice to see your child got so furious if he sees something that is out of place, and he would fix it right away..

Well for me I think that would be hard to do in a day care setting with 6 two year olds and with us being licensed your not aloud to vacuum or clean near them because of chemicals.
Thank you for your response that's great with your son I bet he enjoys helping you and fixing things.
