How often do you have your hair cut?

I'm just thinking about booking my annual hair-cut! In case you are wondering - yes my hair does look a mess, but I have had so much trouble over the years with finding a hairdresser who can cut my hair the way that I like it. I really resent having to pay a lot of money for a hair-cut I don't like. My partner does trim my hair for me now and again, but I have layers now so that is a bit tricky. How about you, do you have your hair cut regularly?

Usually I will have a haircut once a month. I don't have a very long hair, so I need to have a haircut every month so that it won't be in a mess. Sometimes I am surprising as some girls can even have a haircut once for half a year. That's so amazing. Perhaps this is the advantage of long hair:)

Yes, I think you are right. With long hair you really only have to worry about the ends getting split, but with shorter hair you have to keep the shape as well.

hii Katsalot1!
Just like you i had trouble finding a suitable hairdresser for myself 4-5 years back.
Hair is generally a sensitive matter!
The loss of hair to a bad haircut is a Horror!
But the day i found a very good saloon,my hair have been so healthy and happy!
The hairdresser really matters.
So go in search of a good saloon to get those shiny lustrous locks.
A haircut every 4 months or 6months helps hair growth.
I have never been so happy after haircuts as i am now.
They really improve the hair health.
In addition to that you must take care you use a good shampoo and conditioner and regularly wash your hair,3-4 times a week.
So don't hesitate and go head straight in search of the perfect hairdresser whom your hair will love!!!
Hair cut is necessary for the maintenance of healthy hair.So please don't wait and sit back.Get your hairdresser!

The problem is that whenever I have found a good hairdresser, they have moved on by the next time I need a hair-cut!

Hi, I have just had my hair cut last Monday and the first one prior to this haircut was last year in May. I can remember I had annual hair cut too for many years now. I'm not into expensive hair cuts LOL and my mom used to cut my hair before like from long hair to the very short or sometimes I trim my own hair at the ends.
My hair is always a mess especially if it's windy or not windy. My hair is thinning hehe and has split ends so I had to cut it really short and the hairdresser made it loook like it's thicker.
Last time I had a hair cut the hairdresser had a hard time styling my hair because it's natural waves would not agree to the styling LOL.

Oh good, someone else like me! It is amazing when you realise how much people spend on hair-cuts.

I know what you mean about paying lots of money and then not liking it! I don't understand why it does cost such a huge amount to have a haircut. I actually cut my hair on my own, it takes quite a long time but it means that I can have it the length that I want. I usually try and give it a trim once every 3 months so that it can stay healthy at the ends.

Hello, katsalot1! Well, I usually have a haircut every 4-5 months. I want my hair to grow long but when I got irritated by the heat, it's time for a haircut. I go to a barbershop for a trim or slightly bald (very short) to make my head feel cool. But it takes a long time to make it grow longer again. This is my response, happy mylotting!

I like to have my hair long to keep my neck warm in the winter, and then in the summer I can have it in a ponytail to keep it away from my neck. Thanks for responding.

I purposefully keep my hair all one length for the exact reason your hair can be difficult! I hate having to pay $20 just to get my hair trimmed. They charge the same amount for someone who gets a completely new style! It is totally not fair!
I have my sisters or my husband trim my hair occasionally. My aunt went to beauty school many years ago. She still remembers a lot of it. And the basics are easy. So whenever I see her, she trims my hair. That is only about once per year though!
Recently, a new friend has offered to trim my hair for me. She does hair for a living, so it is no big deal. When she comes over and my hair is a mess, she always tells me that she will bring her scissors the next time she comes over. It works great!
I havent actually had a real hair cut in many years! My hair is just growing longer and longer. Right now it is about the middle of my back. My husband and I both love it. So it will probably be a long time before I actually have another hair cut!

Hello katsalot. I have my hair cut regularly. I have my hair cut once a month. Each time when I have it cut, my hairdresser knows me well and she knows how I want to have my hair cut. I am glad that I have an excellent lady hairdresser. I love the way she cuts my hair and I always feel good about the style I like. I plan to have another haircut in a couple of days.

I guess every six months sometimes more than that.. i am missing my long hair.. i have decided to cut it short two weeks ago because it looks kind of messy already.. i haven't had my hair rebond yet because i don't have the budget to do that.. i am still waiting for my money to arrive but i am not 101 percent sure if i am going to have the rebond treatment or not, still thinking about it..

Hi kats...Usually I get my hair cut every four to six weeks. We can't afford to spend much money on the cut. We go to a no name place and with the money we save we're able to give a bigger tip to the hairdresser who does a fantastic job and is super sweet! I know how difficult it can be to find someone you trust to do a good job - keep looking and good luck!

I only get my hair cut once or twice a year. I agree that it's hard to find a hair dresser that is a good match. And it can get expensive even for a trim. It helps that I am growing my hair out, so it makes me feel better about not getting it trimmed very often.

I usually have my hair cut once a month. I have read on a book that's said that human's hair in normal condition is grow about 1 centimeter in a month. Actually i only cut my hair little to make it looks neatly. It's very important for being looked neat. Sometimes i changing my hair style. Usually a hair style for me only persist two month before i feel bore with it and decide to change my hair style. Have a nice day and happy mylotting.

I have my hair cut twice a year. It is always every January and June. Like you, I am a bit practical in money matters. I don't like paying for a very expensive haircut unlike my friends. I don't feel it is worth it to pay a lot just for a haircut. I would rather use the extra money to go shopping or dine at a nice restaurant with friends.

I don't go to the hairdressers anymore. Too much money and they don't do it the way you want it done anyway. My friends cut my hair whenever we feel like it and it always comes out well :) I love weird hair and now that there are no hairdressers involved, I can do whatever I want to do ^^

I used to have that long hair , in fact it grew so much because i was lazy to have a hair cut :)
I'm not much of a regular barber customer, i have my hair trimmed and slightly shaped over by my girlfriend sometimes. In summer i can not let it grow so long it becomes a torture to hang around like that.
Good luck to you with your cut!

Not often enough! I usually wait until I can't stand the way it is looking all shaggy and laugh about needing a dog collar because it is looking so rough around my face and neck! Since I keep it cut very short, it is very noticable and it tends to stick up in spots, if I don't keep it cut. It needs a good cutting right now.........and not a trim, either, AND the color needs done on it again. I sure hate to spend the money on both the color AND the cut right now!

Hello katsalot1!
I do not have my hair cut as often as possible. But I have my hair trimmed as regularly as possible. I sported a long hair for quite a while now. So for the past few months, I maintained a very short hair. It's more manageable this way.

Surely if you have a short hair-cut it has to be trimmed more often? Mine seemed much easier to trim when it was longer without layers.

I go to the barber for a regular haircut. Its usually every three weeks. I think with this interval, my hair is quite long enough. I usually sport a short hair considering that if it gets long, I becomes curly. I do not want it to be kinky and curly. So I make it short all the time.

I like curly hair, but that's probably because mine is straight. I did have a perm once to see what I'd look like with curly hair - and it really didn't suit me.

My hair is at the moment shoulder length and was last cut in March, I am about to book myself into the hairdressers this week hopefully.
I don't go frequently but when I want a new style or I feel its too long, I will go to the hairdressers. I will also go if I have a party or something important to attend to and want to look neat!!
I think they can be expensive, its hard trying to find a cheap and decent hairdresser.

I know, I have yet to find a style that I like. Though anything that is between chin length and shoulder length is my ideal length. I have had it layered, feathered, shorter at the back and other styles but not found a favourite yet.

hi there. my hair doesnt grow very long but it tends to become really thick maybe just 2 weeks into my new haircut. so i usually on a routine basis cut my hair once every month. otherwise it will get out of hand and if i cut more often than that, it can get real expensive haha. cheers!

The last time I got my hair cut in a style was over ten years ago. The lady butcherd my hair. I wanted her to cut it in long layers, and her only response was something about my hair being wavy so she cut it in short layers. Oh my god, I cried for a week, and literally wore a hat for a month. After that I only had my hair cut once, buy my mother and that was just to straighten out my hair. Never put a scissor to it since.

I so hate the hair dressers now just because of that one lady. The last time I had scissors near my hair was 6 years ago (that was the once after the incident) and that was just to straighten my hair out. My hair is now right above my butt, all because of one bad incident.
