This might sound a bit strange, I find it hard sometimes to understand humans. The way we live, act, think... What I don't get is how some people are so greedy. There are people starving all over the world and then here I am sitting in my nice warm house, on my computer, fully clothed and comfortable. I understand that every human wants to have be best they can in life and in order to achieve that you can not give away everything you have. I myself do not send money to the adds on tv or take any action and I don't know why. Whenever I want a bag of chips or a drink I can run down the road to a store and buy it. There are people that dig through garbage just to feed themselves and their families. I think in most ways humans are cruel. I don't know why we feel we need all these material things. Why do most (I can't say all) humans want what is best for themselves and the people close to them and not take a second look at someone else?

it's just like biological concept of "survival of the fittest". most people look up for themselves, and usually themselves only.

Well, this is how the system of life goes on. There are the two extemes of everything eg., good, bad, true false, kindhearted, cruel etc. This is nothing but natural. God Almighty has made us all to be of such nature. You can't read human mind at all. Even in a family life where fathers, mothers, brothers, sisters all living together for years can't understand each others mind. There are people who sound very nice attitudinally may prove to be very bad after some time. Anyway you have raised a very good issue to discuss and if as a result some people's attitude are moulded to be philanthrapist and give to those who are needy and poor, the main purpose of your post will be served. Good luck!

I think it is partly because we are much more complicated than we are often given credit for. I don't just mean in terms of the quantity of flesh, bones, cells and other things.
Is it as simple as reducing us to two different groups - men and women? Are we just from Mars or Venus? No, I think that being human is much more complicated and interesting than that.
I'm not getting here into the religious or spiritual dimension of what it means to be human.
Some certainly find it much easier to be cruel while some find it easier to be kind. Most of us are probably torn between the wo at different times and different stages of our day and life.

Well its not only about humans but i also feel sad about animals . We should take them as soul and not divide them with human , animal boundaries and caring about humans only. Yes its very sad that right now if i am sitting on my warm comfortable seat , there is someone dying of illness or starvation . I really get angry on our politics who been given the power and money to do something but they just sit and so nothing besides giving fake promises .

Well we're born differently and i believe in destiny.. but if you do believe in yourself that you can change your destiny then why not? it's your belief.. Are you not human? because you're complaining that human always want to find what's best for them then i will ask you, are you really contented of what you have right now? i think people always want something new, a never ending necessity..

hmm, well i think my response could possibly ruffle a few feathers, but i don't mind. i feel like this question has certainly crossed my mind one more than one occasion and i myself am somebody who feels like they've been very blessed in life and could certainly do with reaching out more, charity-wise. I don't think most humans are cruel, or that cruelty or selfishness is the motivation behind our nature. in a nature vs. nurture idea of thinking, i certainly think this is more in the idea of a nurtured (or learned) trait. people generally perceive life as "survival of the fittest", but many don't truly understand just how blessed people who live in more developed and less poverty-stricken nations are. I agree that humanity needs to be restored and we should all work harder for our fellow man.
