Internet download manager (IDM) is the best download manager. Resume support is
there. Then , it downloads with maximum speed. It is convenient to use.

These sites specially rapidshare does not allow resuming and also they got bandwidth limit . So there is no way that you can use any download manager to avoid their imposed limitations unless and untill you buy premiumship of these sites.
But here is the site where you can find some download manager specially built for these . But don't know if it really works .

in my opinion and experience . Flashget is the best download manager. its free and easy to use. U can use it to pause/resume downloads. U can have various other options like splitting into more streams. if u are using firefox u can also use downloadthemall . Thats also a very nice and similar download manager.

Download accelerator is one of the best download manager that I have ever use. And until now, I still use it. The best thing about it than doing regular download is that you can manage you download and you can resume your download whenever your download had failed.

Friend,
You try Mozilla Firefox Latest Version to Download Files From Megaupload. It Supports resume option and You Can Download And Resume When Ever U Need. In Accelerators Mega Upload Does Not Support The Accelerators Pause Option.
And For Rapidshare Files You Use raidshare Mass Downloader To download the files. You Can Download Al Lot of files At a time. This is A Freeware Tool. And You Can Get That Tool with me.
If u need that u send me a reply.

The only one I use and know off is internet download manager wich I think is pretty good and deffintley works pretty fast since I can downlod videos in under a few min well depneding on how good my connection is. If you have bad connection then it kind of sucks and really dosnt help that much but its still worth to try it since its free for a certin amount of days.

The best download manager is no other than Internet Download Manager. You should get the registered version of the software. I think it's fast enough for me. I think the real problem is our internet connection itself. Since you said it there are lots of computers connected to it, then the speed in distributed and divided among computers. When downloading on Megaupload or Rapidshare, you need a premium account to boost your speed. These sites usually limit the speed for free users.
