Jimeous Yes they work, since the main function is to generate traffic to the page. But I wouldn't rely on them to generate many sign ups. or any for that matter.

Jimeous ALL antivirus software will slow down your computer depending on the settings you're using. The majority of the newer versions will cripple older computers because they need more RAM and processing power. I prefer to use AVG
