Paypal hacked...I got it fixed.

it so great that paypal is working so good and fast! i was wonderring about paypal fees because i transfer a big amount of money to other account and they take a huge amount of money for a fee... but when i have wrote to support they put my money back and told i need to try it again.. and then they did not take any fee!

It's really great to hear that Paypal had it resolved so fast. I'm happy for you too. Yes, it's very important to report the issue as soon as you found that there's a problem with the transactions. I do also agree that the password used must be strong (with mixture of numbers, characters and alphabets), and should be unique. For example, in my case, the paypal password I used is only used for Paypal only, and not for other programs. I will also suggest that you do change your password every 3 to 6 months too if possible.

wowww... that is really scary... it never happened to me before and i'm glad that it is fixed now... $158 is quite a lot of money and it will be really sucked if you lost it... just be more careful with your account in the future and change your password regularly to make sure that nobody can get into your account... take care and have a nice day...

this is so scary, i almost never check my paypal account, only when i know some transaction has been done i check it, otherwise i would never know if something like this happened to me, thanks for starting this discussion...

I have never had my PayPal account hacked. However, no matter what problem I've had, I've found PayPal to be very efficient in getting the problem resolved. I don't remember if it was a service I requested or not, but ANYTIME there is activity in my account, I receive an email so I can verify that I made the transaction. Outlook is my email program & I have a rule set up so any mail from PayPal goes directly into a PayPal folder. If I have a message from PayPal that doesn't go into their folder, I send it to PayPal & ask for verification of authenticity. Usually within a few minutes I have an answer whether the email is a scam or legit. I have learned that PayPal NEVER sends emails requesting information...I'll see messages when I log into my account if they need info!!! I find PayPal works overtime staying ahead of the scammers in order to protect their customers!!! I seldom make an online payment without using PayPal. If they don't accept PayPal, they don't deserve my business!!!

I'm glad to hear that you got all of your money back! I don't know how that hacker got your password but hopefully it won't happen again. I would be horrible to lose all of that money. I'm not surprised you found it hard to get any sleep. I'll be sure to do what I can to make sure nothing like that ever happens to me.

Oh my goodness, that is super quick. I think it is great that they got your account fixed so fast. It is also extremely surprising. I too had a pretty good experience with a company and money. I was waiting for a check from one of the survey sites that I work with. I waiting the full amount of time and didn't receive anything. I emailed them, and received a check right away. I was really surprised. I guess they just checked and seen that it wasn't cashed, and sent a new one right out. I love good customer service. I think it is very important in today's world. I am so glad you got this fixed. I'm going to check my account and make sure it's ok. I don't look at it very often since I just have internet earnings in it.

wow, you are fortunate. At least, paypal wants to return your money. Nowadays, the electronic stealing is getting more and more. I learn from your case that I should check my paypal and alertpay more frequently. Thank you very much for sharing this information. Happy mylotting!

I feel bad for you, the same thing happened to my brother and he did get his money back. We had to call Paypal so many times and they finally fixed the money problem. That's one of the things I like about Paypal, they're always there to support you. Good thing you found out about it fast !

It's a good thing Paypal managed to resolve the issue fast enough. It's a good thing you noticed it fast too. It is scary if something like that happen. I'll get a sleepless night too if the same thing happen to me. This is a good reminder for me to check and keep the security of my account. Thanks for the warning!

that is soooo good news... congratulations... it would be easy to see you having a hard time sleeping with that issue on your paypal account... i'd probably wont be able to sleep if that happened to me. thanks for sharing this, at least we know how fast paypal are with their customer service. yes we should be using different passwords on all sites we are in, and those that accts that pertains to money must have a combination of letters numbers and symbols...

that was really a great thing from paypal.... If they can do such great thing than amount of confidence on online money and online money accounts would grow and thus the confidence among all of us. Great Paypal keep up this work

That is a good news. Paypal is really reliable. It manages to stop hackers and trace them. I still don't have mopeny on y paypal account now I know that is can be trusted. I am confindent now with my paypla account. Thank you for this discussion.
