Ya gotta try to respond to them all if you want to make money, you just have to be creative about finding a way to make it something worth writing. I only don't spend as much time on here as I used to because I'm not staying at my home right now. I'm staying at my mom's house and sharing a laptop with siblings.

hi dismalgrin,
I know what ur talking about and i do feel the same but last few days it is like aversion to reading big questions and big responses and i though do same thing with Laptop in my lap and tv on but i hardly do anything on laptop these days, just keep it in my lap for hours while i watch tv. And well u would be soon back to your home where you wont have to share the laptop.

That's NOT that unusual!!! It happens to ALL of us. If it makes you feel any better, I've been having much the same problem!!! I find when the discussions are lax, I find it harder to think of anything important to start a discussion on. I sometimes go through myLot burnout when I sit here too long looking for discussions & when i try too hard to come up with a topic of discussion!!! That's when I clean house, go for a walk or go shopping!!! Then I come back with a fresh mind!!!

I have found the same thing. I will either leave for awhile or I will just do a search for something else that I might be interested in discussing. I have found that my search has proen to be very valuable as I am able to focus on that discussion and post to it for awhile, then maybe go back to the other ones and see if there is anything new. Ironically, I found one that i was interested in, and I was able to post several responses to discussions, plus I started my own using that topic. So, you will find by searching that there are topics that might be more interesting than the normal ones we have posted to every day. Well, good luck to you and happy mylotting.

People get out of ideas here very often. There are days you get plenty of smart discussions to respond to and there are days that are dry as a bone.May be it is a wave that goes around I think.Whenever I don't come across any discussion worth responding I trey to start a new one and take care that it is a good one too in the hope of it starting another wave of intelligent discussions. No harm in trying.Ain't it?

There are days like that for everyone. There are days that you can find alot to respond to and others that nothing catches your eye.

It has happened to me quite a few times. There are not just any discussion which interest me. I go thru all the 10 pages of ‘today’s top’ then I go thru my ‘friends’ section, then ‘new’, then ‘no response’ …I also go thru my interests but I guess its one of those days when its me who suffer from mylot fatigue rather than mylot becoming boring.

sounds like you are getting bored with mylot. Every once in a while we all need a rest from it.

I believe that only you can answer that question. I do know that at times I have nothing that I can find in my mind to start a discussion about and at the same time I see nothing to reply to. It's all in my mood I think. Sometimes I save the ones that I might wish to reply to at another time just not right then. I will also look into other discussions like the ones with no replies. Or the older ones.
I don't really get bored with the lot. I just get bored period and this affects my replies.

Hi Agrim, I found that happens sometimes. It's either I'm not in the mood, or that I can't find anything that interest me. Or it could be many of the myLotters are busy with their tasks. But it doesn't matter - after a day or two, I will find some interesting discussions!

what is strange is that I thought it was only among a few of us who noticed how myLot suddenly seemed to go into a drag, but hearing from you noticing the same is a bit weird? Or does it just confirm what I have already observed?
I started noticing it when:
1. the myLot tasks were born
2. people started talking so much about other paid-to sites
I really don't know. Perhaps myLot is seasonal too? There are highs and lows just like everything else. Why don't we try asking the seniors here? Those who have been here ans constant for 3 years or more?

Agrim-
I think it is healthy to take sabbatacles from time to time from the online and offline world. We need our time to be who we are, and online isn't who we are though we share who we are online. I take time off now and then. Sometimes it is for short periods like this last one of four days, and sometimes I've taken off an entire year. I run a forum for our group, so I do try to check in with them monthly online, but other than that, my offline life and duties come first.
There are times I sign in to various forums that I participate in to find nothing of interest, or simply nothing going on. I don't think that truly means bordem as much as it means that at times there will be lulls in activity. It's ok to rest, you know. Have a wonderful week.

No, I do not think that is strange. There are days I find a lot of interesting topics to respond to. There are also days that nothing strikes my interest. I suppose that happens because of what I have on my mind on that particular day.

i know what you mean. i would like to respond more to peoples posts, but working full time, i have to go on practically in the middle of the night sometimes. i go in stages, sometimes there are lots of interesting discussions, ( like tonight ) and sometimes you read them and think,' that is similiar to a post last week@

You have been busier than usual lately am I right? So maybe it just means that you should take a break - a walk and then when you return you will find things interesting again. Maybe even the same things that were here when you first saw them but with a refreshed view you see them differently. Happens to all of us at some point just that each 'burn-out' level is different

Some times it is like my mind just shuts off, nothing to say and no new ideas for discussions. The thing I do is just leave it alone for a day or two and then I can come back fresh. Good Luck

I have felt like that quite a few times. Sometimes it is just me needing a break or feeling tired etc., other times there is not as much going on here that I can take an interest in and contribute to. I have a problem starting discussions that are interesting sometimes so if the discussions available don't suit me I am better off doing something else for a while.
It is normal to feel a little bored and we have all had days when we just don't seem to be getting anywhere, take some time out, that's what I do!
