Three years ago I had to stay in hospital because of hypotension (low blood tension). My tension was 90/70 mmHg and I had difficulties to breath. Therefore when I arrived at hospital, doctor gave me oxygen and infusion immediately. Later I found out that it was caused by lacking of sleep (I had not sleep for 3 days before it happened), stress and workload. So in the first three days at the hospital, the infusion they injected in my vein really made me sleep like a baby :)
What about you, when was the last time you had to stay in hospital?? And why??

Hi, Natalia!
My last time in the hospital was in late January. I'm due to have surgery in late June, and I'm not happy about that. My health is lousy, so I've spent entirely too much time hospitalized. I've even become allergic to latex because of too many surgical procedures, and that allergy is usually restricted to health care workers. I'm constantly broke, even though I have insurance, because of all the co-payments I have to make.

Yes, healthcare is also very expensive in my country. My mom is having diabetic, hypertension and heart problem, that's why my husband and I are working and saving hard so that she can see her doctor frequently and buy the medicines she needs.

The last memory that I remember that I had to stay in a hospital was when I fell off a pick up truck and hit my face first to the ground. My uncle was an engineer and during a gathering (Halloween), he bought his truck over since he just came from a site that he was overseeing. My cousin and I stayed at the back portion of the pick up truck and started talking about ghosts (well, it's Halloween, what do you expect?). When all of a sudden, he jerked in the direction of the tail of the truck and I though he was going to jump. I totally forgot that we were in a vehicle and ran jumping off the truck. However, my jump fell short and my foot hit the side of the truck causing me to summer Sault. When my parents and aunts raced to my aid, they saw blood all over my thighs. They were looking for the wound but they realized that it was dripping from my face. I stayed for a while in the hospital because they had to clear my air passage. In addition to that, I had to go to school after with half my face brown looking like a zombie. haha!

Last time I had to stay in a hospital was in January of last year. I was unable to swallow anything, even a drop of water. Went to emergency about 7 times and my doctor even made a house call here to check on me. Then they finally admitted me. I had an endoscope which found I had a severely ulcerated esophagus. It wasn't very pleasant at the time, but it is healing nicely. I will need to go and get another scope in a year or two. Also have to watch what I eat and cannot take certain medications.

Oh dear, the last time i stayed hospital was before 2 months, i had an operation of appendix, and guess what, it was my first ever operation of all time, i was so scared to see all the equipments, masked doctors with some sharp objects at their hands, nurses carrying trays.. and so on, i was so frightened, but i was willing to know what will happen if they put us a sleeping injection , when they inject the injection on me, it didn't effect me, and i asked them , i didn't feel like sleeping, doc, and they told wait a minute, and they put something on my mouth[like a oxygen] and asked to take a long breathe, and guess when i wake up i was in another room, that means my operation was done already,

The only time I've ever stayed in a hospital was last December when I had my daughter. I was in pain, but not sick, so the stay wasn't too bad. The worst part was when they decided to do construction on the floor above me. It was bad enough I was going to be without sleep after I left, they kept waking me and my baby up.

I had surgery on my foot a week ago for the second time.
The first time was eight months ago when i had a steel plate planted in my foot because the bone that had broke wouldn't heal.
This plate has been aching in my foot ever since and, now, finally a got it out.
But my foot is still aching pretty bad since the scar is so big.
But soon i will take the stitches away and i hope this two year journey will be over, finally. :-)

The last time I myself had to stay in for myself was last May when the baby was born. After that I had to stay in for 3 days when my oldest son had to have stitches taken out because he had an infection. it was not very easy because the baby was only a few months old and they didnt want him there for too long to avoid him getting something. I hate being at the hospital.

It was almost 2,5 years ago, when I was having my child through C-section. I was about to labour normally, but since the baby did not come out until 2 days, so I decided to take the C-section. It was my first time staying at the hospital, and one of the worst part was after the surgery ended, my lower body felt numb because of the anesthetic injection effect. I felt so helpless. Hopefully, I will never experience it again.

Last year May 20, 2008.. I've been operated with my ruptured appendix.. i thought it will be my last day living on earth because i'm really really thin at that time and it's been 2 weeks since my appendix ruptured but i didn't notice.. so the toxins were mmaking me weaker day by day.. during the operation, i said to myself that i'm ready to die..
but God had given me a second life and i think the reason is, May 27th is my Mom's birthday.. and i was allowed to go home by the doctors the same day of my Mom's birthday.. I think it's the perfect gift I ever received.

the last and only time I had to stay in the hospital was about 10yrs back when my son was born. I had him thru C-section so it was about a week’s stay and I just hated it. It was all the worse in the mornings and afternoons when my people could come and visit me and while they were going away, it was too painful for me to stay back in the hospital environment. I just wanted to get up and go with them so much, I cried most of the time, even the baby was no solace for me…I just wanted to go home and be with my own people.

Last time I had to stay in the hospital was for surgery, January 2000. I had broken a bone in my foot that previous October, and it wasn't healing, so they decided I needed a pin put in it. I only stayed over-night. But by the next morning I was ready to go home. lol That was delayed until the afternoon since I wasn't able to keep any food down due to the morphin drip I had. But I still got to go home the day after the surgery. I was in a cast for a total of 6 months due to that break.

I have never been to the hospital before and i don't want to i guess. It seems kind of creepy at the hospital at night no matter you are alone or a group there it still seems so creepy. Goodness when i was there with my mum when i was young and she was giving birth to my younger brother i was freaking out and couldn't sleep while my mum sleeps well there and i am kinda having a phobia of the hospital...haha

Well I've been in the hospital 3 times in my lifetime. Twice for delivering my two daughters. Before that it was 35 years ago when I had a tumor in my leg that had to be removed. I was all of 17 and I spent 11 days in the hospital due to having therapy to learn to walk again. I hope you are sleeping better these days. Take care!
