For a long time I've gone to youtube and watch music video's and thought they were so creative and amazing how they added effects which brought the song out so much better.. than if you hadn't seen the video.
I have a friend who makes video's for all kinds of special things and webpages and I got him to show me how it was done.. and I finally made a video! I am so proud of me! lol! it's so time consuming! it took me 6 hours to hunt the pictures and put them in order to match the song... but it was cool learning how to do it.
here is what I came up with :)

Hi Little_Stormy,
Well done on creating your first video for youtube, it is a good feeling when you create something. It can be very time consuming creating video but the sense of achievement you feel when it is done is well worth it.
You video is very well done, great use of all the pictures with all the transitions.
I have only created one video on youtube, I was working on it, on and off for two days.
Good luck with your future video productions

You did a great job with this video! The music and pictures blend so well together. No, I haven't made a video for youtube yet. I would like to, though, because I do a lot of singing and I accompany myself on the guitar. How do you do this? This may sound like a stupid question but somebody would have to be here to record me, wouldn't they? I don't know how I could video tape myself and sing and play at the same time. I don't have a video recorder or anything. Kathy.

To record yourself, it's pretty simple.. if you have a web cam.. if you don't, they are pretty cheap... I got mine at wal mart for about 40 bucks. I recorded myself (check out my profile here and you will see me singing on cam)at a site online www.singsnap.com is a free site where you can sing to their music.. I love it there!
To do what you see on the yoututbe, I used movie maker (it comes with windows xp) no camera of any sort needed to do that.. it opens up and has a story board and you add pics in the order you hear the music.. as for the pictures in my movie.. I got them from pic sites.. tinypic.com and photobucket.com... free for the taking!

Thank you so much for telling me about singsnap. This sounds like something I will really enjoy as much as I love singing. I have windows vista. Reckon movie maker will work with it too? I hope so. I can't wait to try all of this sometime.
I'm a little bit worried about the comments I'll get from some of the youtubers. Some of them are so rude and outspoken. I don't like the language some of the use, either. I wish youtube would do something about that. Kathy.

Hello! I think you did an amazing job for your first attempt. The pictures were simply beautiful and I watched it 3 times and I hadn't ever heard that song before no I don't live in the dark ages..I just don't listen to radio or watch them on television. I used to though. Now your other video..Was hilarious, I watch it twice and he can play the guitar really well and I sing, good to see people can have fun and joke around..So thanks for the link I really enjoyed both of the video's that you had up..so should we be looking for more in the future? I have never put anything on youtube yet and so far have no plans to do so. But you rock at it, so keep it up..Umm..I'm subscribing..

Great job, Stormy! Love that song, too.
I've never made a video, but when I first started doing graphics work, it took me almost 2 weeks to get it done because I really didn't know what I was doing, or what my program would allow me to do. After that, I was hooked!Isn't it great when you figure something like this out, and have fun doing it?

It is fun!
Not many people have me pegged for a geek.. but I am! I love... LOVEEE learning things!
my mind is in constant sponge mode and I fear I'm gonna overload one day on useless junk that I learn in the wee hours of morning when it's quiet enough to hear myself think!

CONGRATULATIONS bud...a toast for that haha
i had also made a video clip using Windows Movie Maker and it was nice, but compared to what you can see in youtube, my creative work of art is nothing compared to them hehe...

You are so gifted Stormy, I have never done anything like that and I doubt I could. You selected the most beautiful pictures, how did you find them? The video looks as though it was done professionally for the song. I am extremely impressed' if that is your first attempt I certainly look forward to more. Well done my friend, proud of ya!

Great job!
I have only done one video and it was of a dear that we saw out our bed room window. Here, in the yucky part of Detroit where it had no reason to be. It is shot with a cheap camera that I was using for the first time as a video camera.
Then all by myself I figured out how to down and up load and even though it's crappy... it's mine.

Yes,i made some video for my project.it took approx 3 hours to complete.
I think that you can create video from different different video editing software and you can reduce 6 hours to 2-3 hours depending on your working experience with these softwares.so i had listd some software (Which i tried) depending on your operating system
Apple-
Final Cut Express (Mac OS X)
Final cut Pro (Mac OS X)
HD Suite (Mac OS X)
Producer Suite (Mac OS X)
Linux-
Autodesk Discreet smoke and Discreet File
Windows-
There is too much software for windows but these are the best one
Cyberlink Powerdirector
Nero 8 Ultra
Roxio VideoWave and MyDVD
Sony Vegas Pro
Windows Movie Maker
these software provide so much direct features for making video files.

I used windows movie maker :)
I think it took me 6 hours because it was the first time I had ever tried making a movie.. maybe it gets faster as I learn.

Yes,first time it takes almost 5 or 6 hours but if you will work out on other software which have good feature in comparison of windows movie maker you can make video in 2-3 hours.so do practise on making video.
GOOD LUCK.

Oh wow! This is a beautiful song and you chose and sequenced the pictures wonderfully well. I'm not quite sure what to say about the sentiment behind it all though, I must say! Ya made me sad as heck Stormy and you know why and how. Something upbeat next time yes? I've never done anything like this before myself. If I ever do, if I can get it half as right as you just did then I'd be a very happy camper.

I really like your video a lot! I've never done anything like that, but I've thought of doing it with some pictures of my 18-month-old son, and then another one for the son that was stillborn. I know how it is done but I've just never had the time to sit down and do it. Way to go on figuring it out!
