(1) Install anti-virus with real-time protection. Including realtime check on your live webtraffic. Configure it to scan your computer once a week at your choosen time. (2) Enable windows firewall and change the state of windows automatic updates to 'remind me' so that you can download and install updates upon notification. (3) Install Windows Defender and configure it to scan your computer atleast once a week. (4) Install spyware (SpyBot) and configure it to scan your computer atleast once a week (spybot automatically does that). (5) Use FireFox!
