How Can I Get More Fruits And Vegetables Into My Diet?

I am trying to eat healthier but I have a problem that I don't like very many fruits and vegetablse. Mostly problem is with the textures of the foods, they make me gag. i drink juice and can eat a few things like applesauce, peas, corn and broccoli but that is about all I can easily manage to eat. Can you give me any help on how to get more fruits and vegetables into my diet?

I just made banana muffins and its a great way to use bananas that are starting to turn brown and nobody in the house wants to eat. Also you can make muffins from many fruits and they are quick and easy to make. I like to make homemade soup. Its a lot healthier and great for a chilly day. I enjoy making a big pot of soup and it can be served for several different meals. Its a great way to use many vegetables.

The best way to eat vegetables if you don't like them is to make your own vegetable soup. Sweat some onions and garlic, then add lots of chopped vegetables, a tin of chopped tomatoes and some vegetable stock and seasoning. Cook for about an hour. Here's the good bit. If you really can't face vegetables, blitz the lot in a food processor to make a smooth soup. The taste will be fantastic - I can guarantee it! Make a large batch and freeze. The beauty of home made soup is, it'll taste different every time you make it, so you'll never get fed up of it. It's a good way to get children to eat extra vegetables as well, and it's cheap to make as well.

dudue all the fruits are always good i mean mostly they all taste sweet only n since childhood every1 likes friuts only other than nything else may be visit the doctor they would give u a better solution for this

I dont know how to do that either. Ive wanted to eat alternatives to the usual and eat healthier like you do too but its just so hard. I also dont like the way it feels in my mouth thats why I dont eat them. I do love fruit juices but Im just too lazy to blend it myself. My Mom buys apple or grape fruit juice but Im just not into those things. I do, however, love those fruit selection yogurt. Too bad they're just too expensive for everyday consumption. My friends and I have devised or experimented on a vegetable burger patty. Its made up mostly of carrots, potatoes, among other things, plus very minimal amount of meat. Most people whom we offered it to said they thought it was pure beef.^_^ Why not experiment on your own too and see how it goes.

Good for you, trying to eat all healthy! To eat more fruit, try making fruit smoothies. That way, the texture will not bother you, because it will all be smooth. Instead of using ice, I cut up a bunch of fresh fruit and put them in the freezer. That way your smoothies do not taste watered down. (I just froze a ton of strawberry and mango pieces--yum!) As for vegetables, I would recommend trying some vegetarian dishes, like vegetable lasagna. My sister loves the stuff, and she is NOT a big fan of vegetables. Hope this helps, and good luck!
