Have you ever looked at your kid and thought "Where did the time go?"

I was sifting through photos the other day and thought the same thing about my little sister seems like yesterday she was just learning to talk and walk and now here she is going to be in the third grade hopefully(knock on wood) and I am seriously proud of her and she is growing to be a young lady.. I won't be able to call her sissy's baby girl much longer since she will be 8 June 1st as you said seems like yesterday they were our little wee ones and now they are little young misses..grab and hold tight if we blink they might be grown and married..lol

Sure, I've done that. What parent hasn't? As it is my oldest will be 12 years old next month and my youngest will be 9 just a few weeks after that. One day they were little babies. The next thing I knew I blinked and they grew up. I know it wasn't actually that fast, but some days it sure feels like it.

I do it all the time! It does make me sad as well. My oldest daughter will finally be starting Kindergarden in August. I too just sit there and say "I just brought her home from the hospital" or "I was just changing her diapers yesterday." Now she is almost 5 1/2 and it makes me want to cry. My youngest is already 4. I just cant believe I've been a mommy this long already and it seems just like yesterday they were both in diapers and playing nicely.

Hi ersmommy...I don't exactly how you feel yet but I'm sure I will one day. As for me and my family we can't believe that our son is 11 months old because we too just brought him home from the hospital in those cute little newborn outfits. Now he's so heavy that I can't believe it! Congratulations on the kindergarten graduation!

I do.. My son turned 4 this year and he started going to school last year. Seeing him now all excited with school and going out to play makes me really sob because he is starting to discover the world out there. He is getting smarter and stronger every single day. And all I can do is embrace the moment.

It seems only a short while ago that I held my oldest son in my arms at the hospital. Big beefy newborn only opened one eye at first and was quietly glancing from sound to sound. He's seventeen now. Six feet four inches tall. The calm quiet little boy isn't so little anymore.

I cried while watching my 5 year old on her ballet recital last weekend. She had a blast and I looked at this little girl and I asked myself, "where did the time go?" I still remember like it was just yesterday when I was having my 24 hour labor with her.
I think I will ask the same question when my 2 year old and my 1 month old will be doing things that will make me awe in wonder and especially if they will be starting school.

My oldest will be in 1st grade in fall as well & my middle will be in 4k. I have no idea where time went, but I know my hair is getting grayer from it all! *LMAO*
And I certainly wonder that with how sassy my kids are, especially my middle one. What happened to my sweetheart? Oh wait her lil brother happened and he started walking and her world got turned upside down... gosh I hope this passes soon.
Either way I can't even believe it's May another school year finished! I am so not looking forward to summer!

hi!
well i can say my dad definitely asked himself that question. whenever we see each other since we don't live together because my parents are separated by choice due to some problems, he would always tell me that he hoped i didn't grew up. that i was just a little kid whom he saw as i grow. that is really sweet as if he was telling me he can't take it that i am growing fast as life should be that all he wanted was me to be with him all his life...
happy posting and happy mylotting!

I know just how you feel. I am feeling that way right now. My oldest son will be 3 monday and then in July my youngest will be 2. I dont know where the time went. When did they grow up and start doing everything on there own. They now have opinions. When did that happen. They get there self dressed. They clean there room, they go off and just play and it seems like they need mommy less and less. Where are my boys who would just come sit on my lap and watch tv or just want to be held???? I miss those ages but I am soooo proud of all they have accomplished.
