How can I get my cat to stop eating my plants!?

I live in an apartment, and I have no porch or yard, which has forced me to have my entire garden in a window sill. I only have two full size window sills, and only one that gets enough sun for my plants. Obviously this is the window sill that my cat likes to sit in. I will normally move a plant out of the way so he can sit and look out the window.
So far, my cat has eaten 3 plants. I grow all my plants from seeds, so this is very annoying! They were doing great but now they are gone! My cat only eats them at night, he knows it's wrong to do. He wont even go near them if I am looking at him. But once I go to sleep he eats a plant! It's only one at a time, too. He eats it juuust past where the leaves started growing, you know, so there is no hope of resurrecting it. What do I do?!

He's eating the plants because it helps with his disgestion. Why don't you also grow catnip for your cat? It might, at least, cut down on him eating on your other plants. Make sure to place the catnip somewhere else, and redirect him to the catnip instead, when he feels like eating plants.

well thats easy if you have one room that has a door on it put your plants in there at night and when you get up in the morning put the in the windowsill that way you might get some fruit off of your plants before they are ate up. good luck because i was putting groceries away one day and i didnt get to the chicken in time and my cat ate a big hunk out of it.
