What meal do you prepare when you have no time to cook?

Today I made tacos for lunch.
They were really tasty tacos, worthy of being a dinner meal.
Then I got so busy online that I ran out of time
to make a big supper, so it was every man for himself.
Sort of left overs for supper night. If you find it in the fridge it's yours.
And, it really worked out. Usually we have a big meal for dinner
and then everyone lounges around feeling bloated.
But tonight's 'lighter' supper worked well.
What type of meal do you prepare when you don't really have time
to cook?

I would have to say that for me, it would have to be spaghetti bog...it's easy to make when you use a ready made sauce & the mince can be cooked when frozen - speaking of which, that's what I'm gonna cook for dinner tonight.

Nothing wrong with Lean Cuisine! I prefer Boston Market,
but that has way more calories. Good taste though.

A lot of times for us it usually ends up being something quick like a homemade Cheeseburger and some noodles, or just plain macaroni and cheese. A lot of it really depends on what we are in the mood for, but we have often times just done left overs as well.

Hi beautyqueen.
When i have no time to cook, then i will make the toast together with banana, sausage, and cheese. I love these combinations, it tastes good for me. And most importantly, it is easy to prepare and does not spend me much time on it.
Sometimes, i will make some pasta too. It's also quite simple but though it will spend me about half an hour. However, it is still easier to prepare than the dishes that i used to prepare normally.
Besides, making myself a noodle soup is also a good choice. It will spend me about 15 minutes. Simple and delicious!
Happy mylotting and have a nice day!

I think that if I don't have time to cook, I'll eat whatever is on the table or whatever is easy to make. If I don't have time for breakfast, I'll eat a banana. If I don't have time for lunch, i'll make cup noodles, which only takes three minutes. If I don't have time for dinner, I guess I'll order take out or go and buy a subway sandwich, since the store is close to me.

Mmm...tacos are awesome! If I were hungry, I would go with burgers or sloppy joes for a quick meal. Maybe pasta. I usually have a dinner frozen from some other night in the freezer.

I don't cook, because I am a student living in the university campus and I usually buy my meals from the cafeteria.
However, when I don't want to go the cafeteria , I would like to eat outside, in other occations, I just eat some fruit, milk or some bread. I guess one day in the future, when I have no time to cook because of my career, I will also prepare my meal in this way, some fruit ,milk and bread. They are nutritious as well as tasty in my opinion.

When i dont have time to cook, i would generally give my family a healthy food of spirulina food supplement.
Its in the form of tablets BUT a food supplment. A four tablets will give all the energy for a full day work. These are the tablets which a space astronauts take with them on the space journey. A simple and better food in the world. After the year 2020 this will be the major food supplement to all the people in the world. It gives you all the vitamins and minerals from 13 types of vegetables and fruits within a single tablet.

When i'm busy and don't have time for cooking, i usually have instant noodle or cook a tomato soup, it doesn't take too much time, and take some breads with soup.
sometimes i just eat an apple or some other snacks when i feel hungry and have meals after work.

Since we all are rice lovers so dinner wont be complete without rice. On days I really don’t feel like cooking or my fridge is almost empty, I make a combi meal of khichdi…its rice and pulses and veggies all fried together with spices and then boiled and simmered till every items is cooked thru and soft. It has to have the consistency of thick porridge. Add a little butter on top and it’s the most yummy and nutritious meal ready.

i usually make them mac n cheese with a bit of sausage or hamburger thrown in,and some peas.it's pretty quick, and they like it.
once in a while, particularily if i'm not feeling good i'll tell them to make sandwiches, but i usually try to make them at least something.
