Our pizza was cold!

We have a regular pizza place that we use and love. But our last order was cold! Now while we love cold pizza - we love it the following day not the day we order it. Has this ever happened to you? What did you do about it - did you complain to the restaurant or did you fear that the next time the pizza would not just be cold be bad too?

I have never complained about cold food at a restaurant but I did once complain about hair on my food! I was quite disgusted as I am sure you can imagine, and they quickly replaced it and gave us the replacement free of charge! It was actually at a pizza place too and the hair was a on a piece of garlic bread!

Hi UK...That is disgusting! and you were totally right to complain about it. I'm glad they replaced the meal free of charge - it's excellent customer service! Thanks for the response.

Hi mgraham...We didn't realize the pizza was cold until we got home. By that time it was too late - but next time it happens we'll say something! Thanks for the response.

We have had our pizza delivered cold before but nothing that a quick call to the restaurant didn't fix. They delivered us another pizza. Hot this time. Along with a coupon for another free meal to.

Hi marcia! Wow! That's great - I'll tell my husband to say something the next time he goes there. Hopefully we'll have a nice response as you did. Thanks for your response.

I have had that happen. The pizza was cold and tasted like yesterdays pizza. It was not fresh at all and it was only a five minute drive to the house, so it couldn't have gotten that cold in that short of time. Since this was a pizza to go I would have had to go back or call the restaurant and I decided it was not worth it, but if it happens again I will definitely let them know about it! Best wishes!

Hi russso...and yes we like our pizza hot and chewy when we first order it. We'll have to speak up and hopefully it won't happen again. Thanks for the response.

Thats funny I've eaten lots of lukewarm pizzas. Especially if you order quite a few for a crowd.Seems as though some get sat aside while the others are cooking.Yes I've gotten barely warm pizza before but never complained I juts wouldnt.I have a microwave if I want to cook it a little more.If the pizza if cold and doesnt taste god then I'd go to a new place. You have to realize the food service industry if anything but easy.Things happen, workers get busy,They do the best they can.

Hi beckyboo and welcome to mylot! I know things happen and workers get busy. However we've been going to this same place for years and they should know us by now. Our order was ready but they were so disorganized that they didn't realize it. So it sat for awhile before someone else realized that our order was ready and he'd been waiting for nothing. I understand your point but also think that customer service is part of the food industry. Thanks for the response.

I've never gotten a cold pizza from a pizza place before, but I have had some other problems from local pizza places. In all cases, I called the place back, spoke to a manager, and either got a full money refund, or got a new HOT pizza delivered within 30 minutes, that didn't cost me anything.

Hi danish...That's awesome! I guess customer service is alive and well where you live. My husband is usually the one who picks up the pizza so I'm sure he will say something the next time we order. He was more disappointed than anything because he loves this particular pizza. Thanks for the response!
