Books for sure, for the brief time you are reading them they take you out of the reality of your life and into someone elses!

I love books as well! Do you have a preference to paperback or hard cover?

Yep, me too. Magazines for gardening and home decorating, mostly it is the photos in magazines that catch me. I might buy a magazine for one story with great photos of a cottage garden or something like theat. My sister is a big time reader. So, I'm lucky that she passes all her paperbacks to me, almost before I see them on the rack. I like historical fiction or historical romance, as well as adventure and suspence. I'm not much into fantasy or thrillers. Then for research the internet is the only way to go, fast and up to date. But I don't like reading for extended periods of time on the computer. I haven't done ebooks for that reason. But I suppose if I wanted to learn something fast and it was an ebook...I might give it a try.
I sometimes get hardback for reference (garden, home improvment) type books, but usually they are larger type paperback books. And most all the fiction are paperbacks. And I give those to someone else when I'm done with them. But I hang on to the reference books, even if I think I'm done with them.

Books, I love to read so that is my choice. Most of the times I buy traditional books(hardcover or paperbacks)for the times when I want to relax, because being able to read a book helps me do that. When I am trying to save money I will purchase ebooks. I will also read ebooks if a book is only offered in that format and I feel that I absolutely have to read it. For times when I am on the go, but I still feel the need for a good book, I will listen to audio books.

Well it all depends on what is going on. If I'm wasting my time sitting in the doctors office :) I like to read magazines, but I don't want to read a book, just something with different articles to hold my interest. If I'm traveling, but, of course, not driving, I want to play with my electronical gadgets. Mainly, I will text message. And when I'm just bored in the evening, I will read a book.

Books if I am reading for fun. I also want them to be my books so I can write in them. I like to take notes in good books, because I will reread them sometime in the future.
Research I like to do on-line as it is more up to the minute and gives a larger selection than in a library.
Magazines for my gardening and other short fun reads, and for guests.
