Hi ronit_mat, I agree with you as you can tell i am only new to the computer world. In my days 80s i would be lucky to us a calulater but now i order my dinner on the computer wow times have changed i feel its part of us now and it is a must for everyone young and old. But i am starting to get a bit of a belly haha now sitting on the computer. All the best

Yes, everyone should be a computer literate. Just learn the basics and you will be fine. Remember that, everywhere you go, computers are everywhere whether it is old or new technology. If you don't know anything, then you will be easily fooled by people. Believe me. I am thankful that I studied IT course but I never pursue it. hehe

I believe that with the advancement of technology and the changes in how we do things and the world around us changing so very much. It is only important to not only be knowledgeable of computers but to also know the very basics at the least. Computers are being used at the local libraries and have replaced the way we find books. Technology has made it much easier for us in our everyday lives which is why the new generation is more literate about computers then when they had just come out.

However, in today's age, businesses are finding it better to go with computer because they can back things up and have a second copy without taking lots of space for storage. Its easier to search a computer than to search microfiche files.
