I blog all the time. Seriously. I have 4 blogs at the moment. I don't have a ton of followers, but I like writing in my blogs every day. I was thinking that a way that I might be able to generate a bit more traffic to my personal blog would be to have a themed entry at certain times. Like every Monday I would write about kittens.
Not really.
That's where you come in. Help me think of a great theme that you would enjoy seeing!
If you blog, let me know. Let me know if you do one of these themes, too.

What blogging platform do you use? Wordpress or blogger?

Right now I use blogger. I like blogger a lot. It is really easy to use, and because I already have a gmail account, it was much easier to sign up for a blog. So far I have thought of one theme, and that was to have Freebie Fridays, but I also want to have a theme on the things I write. I haven't decided what that should be yet!

This didn't answer my question at all. I was asking what kind of themes people like to see, and you just told me to write in my blog to earn money. Earning isn't what I am concerned with. I'd like to improve the blog I have in order to keep my followers interested.

Sorry I thought you were talking about "theme" or "blog layout" but when I read your post I found out you were talking about a specific theme or niche for your blog.
Anyway, according to what I've learned from professional bloggers, a quality post would be perfectly useless if people don't visit your blog. Regardless of how good you are at writing, if you don't market your blog, people won't really notice you. So I guess instead of looking for great theme for your blog, I think you should focus more on generating more visitors on if your goal is for your articles to get noticed. But make sure you that the more visitors you have, the higher the quality of your blog posts.
According to survey, most people use internet basically for research. So I would suggest that you should write informative articles with a little of personal touch so that you won't bore your readers. :)
Trust is also an important factor in generating more traffic in your blog. If you have this factor, there's a high chance of converting visitors into loyal readers. To build that trust you can start with creating an 'about me' page telling visitors about your expertise in your particular theme just to make sure that you're not a spam blog or something :)
I've just created a new blog last May 1 and from these advices I'm generating a decent amount of traffic on my blog, which is not bad for a new blog like mine. You can visit it here at http://rightfulliving.blogspot.com if you want. Good luck!

Oh gosh I'm really sorry I didn't get your point..
Well I think your idea is unique and creative. Sounds like a magazine type of blog wherein each day of the week you'll have a special theme. I've tried that before and it worked for me and I noticed I received lots of comments when I started doing that kind of new feel on blog. But I think the theme you'll be creating each day will still depend on your interests and the interest of your readers as well. Why not ask suggestions to your followers first by setting up a survey widget? Or perhaps advices from your personal experiences sounds a great theme..? Or the places you traveled? Those sounds great ideas for me.. I hope I helped you..

I don't think you are catching my drift.
My blog earns more followers by word of mouth - it's just what works best for my blog. It is a personal blog, so the people who follow me are looking for personal blogs to follow. These types of people are not going to enjoy it if I am using sites to provide traffic for me. I would rather have a legitimate group of viewers.
Either way, I am not looking to generate traffic, I am looking for a theme for my blog. For instance, I have a theme for each friday. I do "Freebie Fridays" on my blog, and I link users to a free product or service through my blog. I am looking for another theme for another day. I am looking for Mylotters to let me know what kind of themes they have seen and which ones they like the best.
Another blogger I talk to does "Too Much Information Thursdays" where she talks about embarrassing things, and she does "things my boyfriend says" which she posts each friday. I am looking for more themes similar to these.
