Watching horror movies might be scary for some people but it also depends on different conditions. I am not at all scared of watching horror movies but one of my friend is scared of watching horror movies only when he is alone at home.
He can watch movies with his family or friends but not alone.
What about you?
Are you scared of watching horror movies?
What if you are alone in theater and forced to watch a horror movie??

You need to be a little brave to watch some really good horror movies, like "Mirrors". I have seen it and mind you I couldn't get up in night for the next three days. i was that scared!
Again, I am a fan of these movies. I have never tried it alone but I enjoy with my friends. I hav never seen them in midnight being alone. That could scary, isn't it?

Ravenladj.. Gory doesn't make movies scary, so you have no point. Watching the Blair Witch Project, or Paranormal Activity (the first one) alone will make you feel scared to get up and walk around after watching them, yet they have no gore basically. Now, the movie Saw or Hostel on the other hand, are extremely Gory, but they do not have the 'scare' effect after watching them. What are some other movies that give off that real chilling effect that keep you from going outside to smoke immediately after watching them (at night anyhow).

one of the things i don't do is to watch movies in cinema houses alone. i haven't done that. another thing i don't do is to watch horror movies in cinema with the large screen and dolby digital sound and all, where everything is amplified for a better cinematic experience. i'd prefer romantic comedies, sci-fi or adventures... those are the types of movies i enjoy.
if i watch a horror movie, i'd like to be able to do it at home. i can watch it alone, but not right before bedtime. my dreams are so vivid, i don't like to include anything horrifying in my dream. it's not because i'm easily scared, i just prefer to have a wonderful sleep.
once i was forced to watch a horror movie in cinema with 2 male friends who were also my colleagues. i thought the long line in the ticket booth is for a romantic movie that i was raring to see. too late, i just realized that they pulled one on me when we were almost at the end of the line in the ticket booth. i almost walked out on those guys at the time if not for my backpack that one of them is carrying for me while the other one bought and brought our movie snacks. they both offered to hold my hand if i got too scared, i just thought i'd like to bang their heads together for putting me on the spot. that was my one and only horror movie in a cinema. although i admit that i did enjoy the movie and the company. i just don't want a repeat. -lol-

I love movies specially if it a horror movie. I love to watch horror movies with my partner. I don't beleive in ghosts. Maybe this is the reason why I like to watch these movies more than others.
Sometimes my partner gets scared and she wraps her arms around me holding me tight and truely those are one of the best advantages of watching a horror movie.

I have gotten afraid when watching some horror films. Most films are nearly laughable or make no sense at all so I don't get scared but now and then there is a really good horror film that scares me silly. I usually get more scared from horror books though because my imagination gets the better of me, while horror films mostly are funny and I don't get scared.

I am not afraid of watching horror movies, on the contray I like watching them. My wife does get scared while watching horror movies or tv show. Whenever there is a horror scene I have to change the channel or turn the tv off altogether.

Somehow, I am. I don't watch horror movies a lot, and when I do, I've got to be with somebody. I am easily frightened and hunted with what I watch. I am that kind of person who has a very creative imagination so horror is not really for me. I tend to imagine things to be scary when in fact it really is not.

Well I'm not afraid as long I have the remote in my hand and I can turn the volume down to be honest... and about ghost and that stuff doesn't scare me at all because the chances with reality are not as much as a serial killer or a psico.. etc that is scary for me

Yes so much and I dont want to watch it especially
during at night because it tends to make my dreams.
And Im scary also in my dreams for it will be repeated
of what I see on the screen.
I better watch it in a day than in the evening so that
it will not make me into dreams.

I do not watch horror movies. I guess you would say that I am scared of watching them. I do not watch them with friend or family either. I would not watch the movie I would close my eyes.

I think you are scared of watching them.
If you are scared then you should agree about it.
Otherwise you will experience some scary dream tonight.

I love watching them. i don't think i've ever honestly been scared of a movie though. I do hate clowns though, but that's due to watching IT when I was three. Other then that I'll watch pretty much anything alone or with others. I prefer a lot of suspense and thrill to the gore though.

I'll admit it... I'm a HUGE baby when it comes to horror movies LOL I don't watch them. I just can't. I remember years ago, when the first of the "Halloween" movies opened, I went with my friends and proceeded to watch most of it through my jacket LOL It's not so much the blood and gore and such (although I don't dig that either)... it seems to be the suspense that gets to me. You know that "music" or the soundtrack you'll hear and you just KNOW something awful is about to happen? OMG I just can't handle that ROFL

Hi.
I am not scared of watching horror movies a single bit but still I don't usually watch movies form that genre because I don't enjoy watching horror movies. They don't entertain me a single bit.
The kind of blood shed that is there in horror movies makes me feel unpleasant. I prefer action and comedy movies over horror movies.

Well,i think some people are born "timid" and don't dare to watch any horror movies. While some others are fond of doing this things very much,it is either because they are "brave" or they like to pursue excitements.
For me,the most horror movies is not "transmutation" or something like that, but those japanese or korean movies about ghosts.Well,i often regret seeing this kind of movies later, because when i am alone at home,i often think about it,especially at nights.Sometimes i dare not to go to the bathroom and look into the mirror.Though i konw it is not true, but those horror scene often appear in my brain and i can't drive it out.

Hello rakesh284!
I am fond of watching horror films. Also with suspense and thriller movies. I am not scared of watching such movies. I can watch alone at home if I wanted to. There really is nothing to be afraid of. It's all in the mind. Even if I have a very strong imagination, I can still watch horror films without getting scared. Well, yes, I scream from time to time but that is because I also get shocked with all the unexpected elements I see.

I like to watch them but then I am very scared to watch them either. I would prefer to watch with somebody as somebody's presence would not scare me much.
