What do you do when you are disturbed?

What does one do when they are disturbed in life over a particular situation. Do you find a solution to it or do you sit and cry over it. Does it affect your whole day schedule. Does it put you off mood? Do you talk to somebody about it?

Hey shalabhvaid, whenever i'm disturbed i usually listen to music. Soothing music really helps to calm you and to help you think straight. They say "Music is the greatest therapist" and they sure weren't kidding

I agree to this.I think the way of soothing oneself depends on each one of, the methods may vary though.

Nowadays I am seeing brahamkumaris programme, I apply their technique if some disturbing period comes in life. What I do is that I try to remind myself that I am a peaceful soul and try to detach from the problem, when mind becomes cool then situation itself presents some solution, just we have to cool our mind and stop our thought process for a while.

When disturbed, I'd usually just sleep. Doesn't matter if it has to be the entire day. It's just to forget about the thing that's making me feel that way. Because I am the kind of person who thinks a lot. But, if I only can, I would stop thinking and go on with my daily activities. Right now, I am trying to learn to overcome my emotions. While I learn, I still sleep. hehe Until, I already can. Talking to someone who makes sense helps a lot. Praying is also a big help. Mopping about it will never help at all. But, well, we all can't help but mop every now and then. After all, we're only humans.

I would agree to you when you say praying does help. Have tried it an it worked.It actually calms your mind to think better..

When I am disturbed by some situations or by some people, I think first. And think hard. After summing everything up, I weigh my options whether to cry or to let this pass. But oftentimes, the weakling in me seems to prevail that I end up crying instead. But at least I have already expressed my feelings and sooner or later, I will forget about.

Hey dude do you know what according to me everyone is disturbed there is no exception in the world. If I am disturbed yes of course my day will turn just like hell but the best solution that I have adopted is MEDITATION or YOGA. Earlier I was always discourage but now I have someone special to support me and I never give up. Crying means you are extremely weak and vulnerable.

Meditation have not tried that but have tried silently speaking to god and discussing with him. Crying does not help was just trying to understand what people do when they are distured because for some they feel a little better.

When I am disturbed I sometimes cries and sit alone and after that I may go shopping alone to make peace with everything. I know it may sound funny but I have always been like this either when I am angry or depressed I go to shopping.

I have heard it helps many people they feel better when they go out for a walk or shopping etc...
