Oil price going up, and gas price going up accordingly. That certainly has an effect on my travel plans, in town and out-of-town too. I choose now to take the public transport, trains and buses, to get to my work, and will cancel some of my out-of-town holiday travels too. How about for you ? Does gas price effect your travel plans ?

It certainly does affect my travel plans. If the gas is high I go less and not as far. So I don't get to see my boys as much as I use to or as much as I'd like to. My mother moved closer and I still don't see her as much as I'd like to. Mostly this is because of my health not allowing me to.

Absolutly does! And gas is up since your original post! It's actually quite sickening. It's not even traveling it's affording to get to work or to get groceries one has to plan for not just a nice weekend trip somewhere.

Yes, indeed. The gas price still keeps on rising, and that very much impacts even moving around in the city.

Not just moving around in the city but everyday travels to do regular errands. And the gas has risen even further since my response to you. It's sad our economy will never get better if gas rates keep climbing, it has such an impact on everything.

The gas price rise rapidly this month. But it does not effect my travel plans. In fact ,the H1N1 flu does.I quit my summer holiday travel plan out the region.

Gas prices do affect my travel plans. If nothing else, I find myself walking to work more often because of them. I'm trying to encourage my friends to carpool when we do use our vehicles, so that we can save a bit of fuel. And with prices on the rise again, I find myself paying more attention to the prices before I buy fuel -- sometimes it's cheaper at a station a mile out of my way.

Yes, it does very much!!!Have been planning to go to a friend in the countryside which is quite far but have been postponing it because of the price of gas. Have to do that maybe when the price has gone down a bit.

hi Greenline, you are correct, but no body is caring for price rise in oil and gas, now traveling is fancy to most of the people and compulsory to those people like you/me, i use autoriksha for my travel in the city and i have no other alternative, to face the price hike

Yes and no. I don't travel as much as I used to because I'm living on SSI now and I can't afford it. I do have to cut back on going so many places because gas is going back up again. I sure had to cut back when it was up to $4.00 a gallon! I sure hope it doesn't go up this high again. Kathy.

Oh yeah, definitely. It will affect my plan too. I would like go on a trip this summer with a friend, but due to the price of gasoline steadily going up from week to week, I might have to cancel some of my those plans too. I can't drive too far, and I can't go on airfare since it might be also up too. Plus, from the news, many residents complain the gas price, and they would going out less, and only drive out when it is necessary.
