I am a huge fan of horror and scary movies. I am picky about which ones I really think are good though. Last night we rented 4 different horror movies! As I was watching them I realized what it is I love about these movies. I love when there is some kind of twist at the ending! The movie that made me realize this was The Uninvited. Have you seen this movie? Great ending! I'm not a hug fan of the blood and gore. I like more of the unknown. I think that makes movies scary. What is it you like about scary/horror movies?

I LOVED Taken!! Saw that one in the theater and have seen it 3 times since on DVD! I can't remember if I saw untraceable or not - it does sound familiar though.

I have not seen Uninvited, but I think it is on my Netflix list. What were the other 3 movies you watched?

I just watched that movie yesterday! I won't say anything to give it away for those who haven't seen it but it was definitely a twist I was not expecting. It's one of those that make you think after watching it and them try to pick out if there were any hints along the way. I don't know what it is about horror movies. Maybe it's the suspense. If they can pull it off and keep you guessing, then it pays off. Then there are those that just fail miserably and it's not worth watching.

YAY another person who has seen The Uninvited! I totally wasn't expecting the ending either! The was very shocked and it took me a while to look back and make sense of it all! Loved it though.

I haven't seen The Uninvited, but I do enjoy horror movies. Like you, I prefer the mystery kind, the unusual and unexpected twists in plot, the suspense...but not blood and gore. Karen

Have you watched Scream (1,2,3)? In terms of unexpected / unusual twists, it's like the twin of The Uninvited.

i loved the uninvited. I thought it was a really good story and they really put a lot of thought into it. I like all kinds of horror movies. I think I lead towards the ones with more suspense and less gore also. I personally didn't like the saw movies. They just didn't appeal to me.

We're on the same team. I'm also a big fan of horror / suspense / thriller movies. Even the ones with too much blood and gore (Jason, Freddy, Michael Myers, etc.) In my opinion, The Uninvited (English Version) is one of the best horror-suspense films ever! I think the original Uninvited is from Korea. I haven't watched that one yet but so far, the English version really rocks! What I like about scary movies is that they're out of the ordinary which is something I'm quite interested in.
