I have been in same job for 8 years and even though I am thankful for all that I have, I yearn for something more. Writing has always been my passion yet I am now starting to really explore it. I don't look back with regret that I should have started earlier; just thankful that I am finally broadening my horizon. I am going to persue it whatever happens; and give it my all. Are you living your dream or are you okay with whatever pays the bills?

I am now 29 years old and I feel like I am not going to live my dream at all. It's sad and terrible feeling but I guess some people are not just going to live their dreams. I know what I wanted in life and I am ambitious enough to go for it but the thing is I'm stuck with my own fears that what if I can't make it. Yet, there are times that when I'm inspired I see some hope that maybe, just maybe if i try and try then all that I dream of and for will all come true. I am praying that someday it will just happen and that I can make a difference to everyone including my loves.

Thank you very much. Actually, I am on the process of losing my fears and just do the best I can so I can achieve what I dream in life. Of course, with the help of my dear friends and someone special who has given me inspiration, love, support and strength, I know I can be able to conquers all of my fears. As what you have said, I'm taking baby steps to achieve those dreams. Thank you again!

What do you want to do in life snugglepuff? I can relate to fear. It has kept me from doing many things but nothing ever happens before its time and we see what is before us when we open our mind to all the possibilities. God speaks to us through many devices. You have not admitted one of your obstacles which is fear. I had to do the same, It is not an easy and there is always doubt but belief and faith plays a big part. I don't know what other obstacles you face but let's move on from that and take baby steps towards our goals regardless of what happens. Wouldn't you prefer to try than to always wonder what you could have done? Good luck to you...

You are welcome snugglepuff. We all need encouragement and support in our lives. It does not mean that we are weak at all it only means that there are people out there who care about what happens in our life. Embrace and thank God for them whomever they are. Good luck to you girl and I hope to get updates on your baby steps ! :)

I honestly don't know what I really like to do with my life. For me, I need a high paying job even if it is not my passion in life. When I started working,my goal then is to earn more for my family. I want to contribute to the living expense of my parents and siblings. Now that I am married, I still need more money because I am already sharing expenses to two household. Lucky for you that you already taking the risk to pursue your dreams. Hope you can write more inspiring and beautiful stories.

Hey, I know what you mean about the responsibilities. I too, want to be able to provide more for my parents and to be able to contribute to my own household should I get married. Sometimes you have to hold on to the high paying job because it pays the bills, especially if it is going to take a while for your real goal to materialise. Passion is what drives me when it comes to a lot of things in life and if I don't feel it, it just feels like work! Thank you for the words and I will continue to write and improve in that and see where it takes me. In the meantime, I will be holding on to that other job as it pays the bills for now!:) Good luck to you and your family.

I just started a great job where I will be making a difference and I am dating a really wonderful guy who makes me incredibly happy. I think I am living my dream. My job is one that no one else would want to do but I am happy being a part of this project my company is working on.

No I'm not living my dream I wish I was, there is so many things that I want to do that I havent yet done, and I wouldn't know where to start I have such a fascination and interest in so many things in life, but there a lot of big obstacle's for me to climb before I can even come close to living my dream, so for right now all I'll be doing is dreaming until I can figure out exactly how to over come these huge obstacles, but even with all the things I have to over come I will keep pushing through until I'm finally living at least part of my dream.

Apples.. how about you jot down the things you want to do and start with something small. Sometimes there are some huge obstacles but you know what? They will always be there if we keep seeing them as obstacles instead of something to move out of the way. I hope you become bigger than your obstacles! Good Luck....

:) Well Dante, so am I! Don't we all deserve it? I think it is part of what has a lot of angry people walking around in this world. I have prayed and asked God to show me the way. To open me up and you know what? He has been opening me up. I can't say that I am all the way there but I have started by looking at myself and being honest about what I truly and enjoy. I took the chance to start writing and sharing and I will place the rest in God's hands. I hope you will to. Good Luck!

I am happy with my life at the moment, but I'm definitely not living the dream that I had when I was a kid. I wanted to be an actress and a singer but was convinced to go for a proper job. I'm now a nurse and a mum, both of which I love but sometimes I wish I could sing again. I would love to go on one of those tv shows just to do it one more time and see what the dream is like.

Hey, that sounds like fun!
Wouldn't that be interesting to just go do it for the fun of it. Who says your dream has to be something continuous. Your one moment in time when you are doing exactly what you want to do. Hope you decide to give it a try and enjoy every moment of it. I bet it will be a feeling you will cherish for the rest of your life! I dare you! LOL.

no I am not living my dream, at least not yet. I am currently a freelance writer but I don't make enough money to quit my day job. I long for the day when I can work myself and not have to have another job and I make enough money to support myself and do the things I enjoy like traveling!

A freelance writer. That is great. How long have you been writing and are you passionate about it? I like to travel myself and hope to really do some traveling one day. Hey, it may seem that you are not getting the maximum benefits right now, but if you really love writing, continue, and market yourself as much as you can. Who knows where you will end up. Best of luck to you. Hope to see some of your writing soon.

Hey,
No way, I am still a little young, that is why I can't actually live my dream at this moment. Hopefully in the near future, I will actually be able to live my dream just the way I dreamed about it when I was younger. Make sure you have a good day, God bless and Happy Lotting!!

I'm living half my dream. I have always been interested in the law. At first I thought that I wanted to be a lawyer but then I descided that I just wanted to be a paralegal. I am a paralegal but its not the enviroment I thought I would be in. I work for a husband his associate and his wife who are all lawyers. I have no co-workers. Most of the time Im just the plain old sectary, office manager and sometimes paralegal. I know we all have to start some where but its been 5 years since I graduated from college and my life and career is no were near what I hoped and prayed it would be.

First of all, congratulations on making such a wonderful choice of pursuing your dream. I believe that we were meant to follow our bliss - and the rest will come on its own (yes, even though we have bills to pay, lol).
I quit my job recently and decided to do what I love - just like you, writing. I know that if I am happy just ''being'' and pursue my dreams, everything that I need will be taken care of by the Universe. And it's from that premise that I have decided to let go of my attachments. To be honest with you, I am not yet a point where I am making money from what I like, but nothing remains stagnant in life, and I know that it is coming.
I wish you all the best in your life. Believe that Universe always responds to what your heart desires. Blessings & love!

Oh this is so great ButterflyEs! I wish you all the success in the world and look forward to seeing some work from you. I know how you feel because I was feeling stagnant as well and just could not understand why. There are people around me who say I think too much :) but it is all good for me! You took a chance and left your job behind and that my friend required faith. I know you will get your blessings and i wish you all the best. Stay in touch and have a great day!
