Loving and being "IN LOVE"

Do you believe there is a difference between loving someone and being "in love"? Enlighten me friends. Hmmm... Loving may be like how we love our family, we love them because we're a family. But being 'In love' is like a new thing. I mean, from the moment you were born, there's a natural love the flows around, but when you meet someone or get to know someone better, you fall in love with that person. It's something new, you have a choice to pursue that love or you can ignore it. Unlike in families where it's a given. hmmm.. I'm still confused. Do you guys think there's a difference there?

There's great differences between the two. It's like 'to give' and 'to received' and the things won't necessarily happen at the same time so it's quite possible that you love without being loved back.

Loving without being loved back is the saddest thing that could ever happen.

True, it could be so sad but it happens all the time 'cause love is not an object that you can trade for. Love is love, is the great overwhelming emotions deep within one's heart. I don't love just to exchange for being loved. That's pointless.

For me, LOVING as you've said, is innate in us. But, being IN LOVE is totally different. Because when you're in love, you just develop that certain kind of feeling towards a man or a person whom you have known for quite sometime and eventually you have fallen in love with him.

Hi, Laydee! We love so mamy different ways, it's incredible! My husband and I have been in love for more years than most myLotters have been alive, and it's still as it was in our 20s or even earlier. But that's not at all the way I love chocolate, or my dearest friend, or my students, or even a couple of great books. Being in love is glorious and impossible to explain. Loving is probably a million different things. Complicated little things, aren't we humans?

Is it like LOVING means you love somebody, IN LOVE means you are being loved? If it is what is talking about, I think there is a difference, they may not be interactive, you can love somebody who doens't love you and you can be loved by somebody who you don't love. It is sad to have such thing happen :-(

Loving is a wide range defination, I think, you can love your family, love God, love human being, love all in nature as God. But "in love" range is more narrow than loving. which happen between man and woman with a gentle , amphibolous, sexy background. The aforesaid is only my comprehension on "loving" , "in love" for your reference.
