Accents

Do you like different accents? I do, I have always had a bit of a thing for a southern voice, a real drawlin hi darlin kinda voice. I also have a major jones for upper class English female voices, not proper what what tally ho voices, just well spoken and classy. Hows about you? Which accent does it for you?

I think your talking about "southern belle" talk. I'm southern and I guess you could say I like "cowboy" talk. The "howdy" "howdy ya'll" "Yes Ma'am" "No Ma'am" kind of thing. I used to like not just Southern but Australian and English Accents as well. I liked the way Spike (James Marsters) sounded from Buffy but also like Giles (Anthony Stuart Head) type of voice as well. Duckie from NCIS has a nice voice!

correct! That is his voice, it is a fake accent as the guy who plays him (Sendhil Ramamaurthy) is american, butit is a good British accent, which Americans very seldom seem to get right!

I'm in love with the british accent! :) It just sounds so much better than the american one and I'm trying so hard to learn it right now lol I don't mind other accents, as long as they're not fake! I don't get it why some people think that by faking a certain accent (most of the time spanish) others will like them more! It's silly! I do have a few accents... actually languages that I don't necessarily like... they just sound a bit weird like arabian, russian or turkish.

I've always loved different accents, but can't really think of any I like better than others. I moved from New England to Oklahoma 5 years ago. The accent hear is southern, but more like Texas with a real pronounced drawl. When I first got here, I couldn't understand anything that people said, but have gotten used to it. A deep seductive voice with any kind of accent, whispering in my ear does it for me...

I love to hear any accent, because that tells me that people are still proud of their origins and don't want their accents processed out of them. I love to hear a Cornish accent in England, or an Edinburgh Scottish accent, which is so soft and gentle. We live in Spain, in Alicante province, and the local accent just turns my legs to jelly, it's just so sexy sounding.

Un poco. Quando vamos a restaurante, puedo preguntar para todos comidas y bebidas en Espanol. (A little. When we go to a restaurant, I can ask for all the food and drinks in Spanish.)

The ya'll accent of southerners is a joy to hear. The other one that never fails to pick me up and make me feel good is the Boston accent, I really love that one. In my own country, the Newfoundlanders accent is probably the warmest, fuzziest one ever. I am not sure if it is the accent that I love so much, or the memories of the people I have met that sport the accent.
