you have to get them from the vet after they've had their required shots for travel.
that's how i got mine for my cat,it basically shows they're free of contagious disease.

I did get two pet passports but forgot to keep one of in date. I am not likely to take my dogs overseas now that I have my disabled toddler son. At the time I got the pet passports I lived near to France but then I moved closer to Wales.
I live in the UK. I had to get get my dogs micro chipped. Then they had to have a rabis vaccination. Six months later their blood was checked and then their pet passports were issued. All that cost me hundreds of pounds.
It would be worth looking in transport routes because I found few ferry lines allowed dogs unless in a car, certainly not me because I am a foot passenger. I did take my dog, Secret, to Sark Island, in British Waters. I found carrying him in a pet box nearly impossible. He had to stay in that on the car deck.
Good luck and I advise applying all at least 7 months before your planned trip. A dog must see a vet before coming back into the UK. There is tick treatment to do done before going home.
