What did you have for breakfast?

Studies show that people who eat breakfast lose weight than those who prefer to skip it.
I've always been a breakfast person - when i was growing up, my parents made sure that I don't leave the house without eating breakfast. Of course back then the breakfast that mom makes is usually with scrambled eggs, bacon, ham, and left over dinner from the night before.
Now I don't have anything against any of that except that's actually counterproductive to losing weight. Nowadays, I typically have scrambled egg/fried egg sunny-side up with wheat bread (egg sandwich). What do you typically have?

I love having a glass of oats in the morning, and sometimes i mix it with fruit. It is not everyday but mostly i used of it already. Other food i eat in the morning, egg and dried fish with tomato, sometimes just a plain bread or noodles.

Ahhh - oatmeal.
I can't eat oatmeal - it messes up my stomach. For about a good 2-3 months, I would have oatmeal for breakfast with honey and a touch of milk. Then in the middle of the day - my stomach would just hurt like hell - almost a burning sensation. An hour later - I feel the need to go the restroom. Then I thought about what I've been eating different.
So I did an experiment to confirm my suspicion - skipped oatmeal for two days, then eat it again on the third. Did this for two weeks -and I was right. It's the oatmeal. I miss oatmeal. =/

Oat is rich in fiber that i love it.
Not all can eat oat. The reason is if your stomach or digestion is not good if you are having oats, you will really stopped. The urge to go to the bathroom will be an annoying scene if you are not accustomed of eating this fiber rich cereal.
I feel good having it and i never experienced unusual changes in my digestion.

A cup of coffee is a must have during my breakfast. I will have a headache if I don't drink coffee in a day.
On weekdays, I often have bread with my coffee and weekends its a bit heavy, which is fried noodle. That is because I have time to cook since I don't go to work on weekends.
Have a nice day khayshenz

wow..this is the first time I hear someone got the same addiction as mine. COFFEE! lol, yeah..Its not really my intention to get addicted because its kinda hard too, making sure I drink coffee everyday just so that I don't get a headache. I'm wondering, is there a way to handle that addiction?

headaches without coffee - you're addicted to caffeine! (just like me! Hey, no shame we all gotta have some kind of a vise/ =D)
I hope you're eating wheat bread and not just regular white bread - other than for healthy reasons of course. Have a good day!

Well, I don't usually eat breakfast everyday. I sometimes skip breakfast especially if I don't really like to it or I woke up very late already. If ever I eat breakfast, there is no particular thing that I eat. I sometimes eat cereal, oatmeal, bread, rice with ham and egg, etc. It really depends on what kind of food that I want to eat. But most of the time I eat bread or cookies. I don't usually eat at home, I always brought it to school or at work.

I had rice and cheese hotdogs for breakfast this morning and I had vinegar with salt to dip the cheese hotdogs there. It was very delicious! My favorite breakfast is tapsilog, a dish here in our country which stands for tapa (beef) sinangag (fried rice) and fried egg.

Ahhh - heavy breakfast!
I'm filipino too - so I sort of knew what you were talking about. Though I wasn't sure what tapa meant (I live in California now), until now. We learn something new everyday!
When I went off to college - I didn't have time to cook any of that - so I ended skipping breakfast. That didn't last long because soon I realized that I just couldn't survive the day without breakfast. So i made a healthier version - eggs sandwich! It's fast and it's not too heavy.
Though sometimes I succumb to rice and sunny-side up eggs, with soy sauce. Mmmhhhmmm...yummm.

I know! I kept hearing that people who eat breakfast tend to lose more weight than those who don't because they don't feel that hungry the rest of the day or something... but I don't think that's actually true. Ok, I agree you might feel hungry if you don't eat anything for breakfast, but if you know what and how much you are supposed to eat you won't overdo it at the other meals anyway...
But anyway, I'm currently on a diet, so I have sandwiches for breakfast. Only 1 or 2 slices of whole-meal bread or brown bread and low fat cheese like cow cheese or pot cheese. Along with a cup of green tea or sometimes milk.
I used to eat the same things even when I wasn't on any diets, the only difference being the quality of the bread and cheese... :D And of course I had sweets every morning... Now if I feel the need for something sweet in the morning I have a banana.

I must take breakfast everyday. I can avoid either lunch or dinner but breakfast is a must for me. Normally my breakfast is quite heavy like fried noodles, coffee, eggs either boiled or fried. Sometimes it will just be toasted bread with bacon and eggs and hot coffee.

I had rasin and cinammon buttery toast + a cup of hot coffee for breakfast this morning and it was good! :-) I made bacon & egg roll for my hubby. I don't care if I have breakfast everyday but I do care about if my hubby get breakfast everyday because he needs to go to work, don't want him to starve and feel sleepy.

Yes, skipping breakfast does not really help in losing weight. If you skip breakfast, you will just more during lunch; thus, gaining more calories. My parents also never lets me leave the house without eating some light breakfast. When I was still in school, I would typically have cereal and milk for breakfast. Now that I am working, I usually eat oatmeal for breakfast. Sometimes when I am sick of oatmeal already, I will have wheat break or some cereal.

I like to eat different breakfast everyday. Here at home, mom is a great cook. She has her own recipes, she modifies, she's just awesome in this. She prepares breakfast even when the sun is not up. Automatically in the morning when I get down to the kitchen, breakfast always looks yummy. Cause it's something new everyday. Credits to her that until today, I find her cooking very very hard to resist. Sometimes when I feel like skipping breakfast, it doesn't seem to happen until I see what she has made. That's just her way in making sure that none of her daughters skip breakfast, lunch or dinner as well. Today for breakfast, mom made us eat her very special chili mushroom sandwich. I ate it for the first time, loved it! Happy mylotting :D

I think that breakfast is the most important meal we could ever have during the day. When you wake up in the morning, You are hungry and it is important to satisfy that hunger. But now and days, people only eat breakfast if they have time in the morning or grab something like a pop tart or honey bun and eat it as walk out the door. I'm not saying I haven't guilty of this but we have to be more aware what we put in out body in the morning. I think it is a good idea to have a good hardy breakfast at least once a week. Treat as a reward for the hard work week you just had. As for the rest of the week, I think that a simple bowl of cereal is a good way to start the day. It can also help in losing weight being that your body burn up all what you ate in the first part of the day. So I don't think it is a good idea to skip breakfast and it will benefit you if you do.

Keep away from the fried food.....
My usual breakfast is a couple of cups of coffee, cereal, wheat toast, and fresh fruit.
BUT, I must add when I was a younger person I indulged in the usual workmans breakfast, all fried and running in grease, eggs, bacon, sausage, beans, tomatoes, hash browns, and good old English black pudding..... luverly, but not good for the heart thats for sure.

I usually do not eat a very large breakfast because I often wake up with a headache and I don't feel like eating. Most days I munch on some fruits like a mango, or some grapes, or anything light. This morning I did make myself some oatmeal. Oatmeal is really delicious if you make it with butter and cook it over the stove with some strawberries or blueberries. The oats soak up the taste and the result is delicious. Try it sometime!

Hello khayshenz!
I often skip breakfast because I have to rush for work. I often leave the house at around 7 in the morning. But if I wake up early, I would probably have breakfast. This morning, all I had was a cup of hot milk.

What kind of cereal? There's tons of sugar in those thing so be careful - read the nutrition label.
Special K is actually pretty good when it comes to losing a few pounds - though sometimes i find their cereal too "cardboard-ish." Is that just me?
There's also KASHI - whole grains - haven't tried it yet though. My favorite is honey nut cheerios and honey bunches of oats. I don't eat cereal often - I usally snack on them though. ;-)

I sometimes eat breakfast and sometimes I don't. I am not sure if that theory about losing weight is true or not. Of course your body would need all the calories it can get but also at the same time if you don't eat then it can't really say that you gained anything now can it?
However, to answer your question nothing this morning. Just took a couple of swigs of buttermilk/ cold water also. Then drunk like two cups of coffee and went to school.

I woke up to late for breakfast. I don't like too many breakfast foods, so I've been attempting to fix that by trying to find breakfast foods that tempt me. Like cocoa puffs and frosted wheat! Haha. I like granola too, but I'm picky about my granola, it can't have nuts in it... do you know how hard it is to find granola without nuts in it? But, I haven't been doing so good lately, so stressed that I sleep in. So, that's not cool!

On the weekends when I'm lazy - I actually go to Mickey-D's for breakfast. Their coffee is actually pretty good. And the McGriddles -what a concept! A great idea indeed.
Well I hope you don't go too McDonalds often - ever seen supersize me and there's also a book - fastfood nation. So just be aware about the pitfalls, and i'm sure there are ways to speed up the process of eating breakfast.
It only takes a minute to fry an egg. While the egg is on the pan, put some toasts in the toaster - while both are cooking, make your coffee. When everything is done, you just put it all together and get on to work.
Have a good day!
