32 dollars on the floor at work.
if someone had come up and said "i lost money somewhere" i would have returned it.
but i'm not yelling out "who lost money"? every hand would have went up..

it was probably a patron who dropped it,it was a night club.
nobody ever came back for it.whoever it was probably hadn't a clue where they dropped it..if they remembered

Yeah, better pick it up yourself than leave it for the greedy co-workers

Definitely. The nook and cranny savings and loan probably saved more money than any Bank in the USA!

Yeah, nobody I know has found more than that either... If there's $100 on the street, more people will want to take it than if it was $1 instead, and it's also more easy to spot. So you gotta be pretty lucky to find big money on the street.

twenty dollars. Someone left their wallet on a counter. They came back for it as soon as they went to the next place and needed their wallet.

Hi Ironmaiden, On the street the largest amount I have found was a £5 note which I took into the charity shop next to it and popped it into their box but when ironing a customers jeans once I found £60 in their back pocket which I gave to them, they thanked me and said they thought they had spent rather a lot when they went out the other night. Huggles. Ellie :D

Mostly my husband found money... he is a lucky one, everytime he goes out then He will found something. Last time, he found $130 in a coffee shop. I can't believe it.. and other day, we went to Wal-Mart, he found $40. I found just a couple dollars... or $10 the most and if that a lot then it would be my own my money tho. hahhaha

The biggest amount of money i have ever found was just $10, which is about 5USD or less.. haha =D Though it's not a big sum of money, but my fren actually went around finding temples and churches, to donate that money.. lol =D As it was about evening time around 6, with most of them had already closed..
In the end, my fren has to part with her 'hard found' money, on drinks and snacks, when she actually wanna use it for a better purpose.. lol =D
Maybe i should say i'm actually quite a lucky person too, as i have always been finding money, and though it's a small amount, but i used them all on miscellaneous things.. haha =D

Not too bad.
I also always collect even the smallest money when I see it. Just a couple of weeks ago I found a total of over 1 euro (about $0.7) just from collecting 5 and 10 cent coins

That was nicely done. Hopefully the owner of the money found it, otherwise your principal probably have spent it him/herself

I've found a bag with many good things in it like credit cards, about 300 $ in cash, car keys(I guess the car was good too).I was standing there and actually I could take everything and go home(nobody could see me), but I waited about 10 minutes or so, and I saw a woman who was looking around and desperately searching her lost bag.She thanked me,I told her to check if I hadn't stolen something,so there would be no problems. When I told this story at school, my classmates said:"You're a complete idiot! You should have taken the money and leave that bag!".But I'm glad I didn't.

Wow, luckily you waited for the woman. If you would have just left but not taken the bag, someone else could have taken it and that would have been very bad for the woman.

Hii ironMaiden,
Once when i was going out with my friends i saw Rs.100 laying in the staircase of my society. But before i could take it one of my friend jumped and starting screaming "I got my money back" and i was like when did she loose it. I still have a doubt that she was lying but she took that note. I would not do anything. So this is what happened with me.

I'm also pretty sure she was lying... I think she would have went looking for it as soon as she noticed she had lost it, so I doubt it was hers... Thanks for your response and happy myLotting

One day when my husband and I still lived in Arizona, we found $20 USD on the floor of the groccery store. We picked it up, and took it to the cash desk for the "lost and found." It would have been something nice to keep, but our gain would have been someone else's loss, so we took it to the desk, hoping it would make it back to it's rightfull owner.
